After Stuyven it's DAll'Oste today, great ride for him, let's hope he can repeat on another mountain stage!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I had Van Stayen first!

Didn't knew that. I'm still a newbee when it comes to MG history Pfft
What stats had he before training?

80SP, 71Hill. Had him for two seasons. One in the CT (where he was still not maxed out) and one in the PT. He won a stage in Avenir in the first year and two Tour de France stages in the second year, but I can't remember anything worth mentioning other than that.

Great to see Keinath placed as "best of the rest". He will most likely slip down a bit, but finishing somewhere between 11-15th place seems doable now. Still long way to Rome though.

Thanks for all reports, great to find new one every evening!

Btw what the hell heppened with Cattaneo??

Quite a lot of money went into him Pfft
Gotta look a bit through old threads at some point to catch up with the development of some riders...

Thank you for a great report, sgdanny!

Amazing stage by Guldhammer. Great to see him able to stay with the top three over Gavia, which obviously was key to keep the other GC riders behind on the final climb. Great stage by Wellens as well, picking the right moment to attack, and suddenly he's a clear threat for Guldhammer. But hopefully our captain can continue looking upwards in the GC standings and maybe challenge for a top 5, which would be well above expectations pre-race.

Congratulations on another stage, Smowz. Must give hope as well seeing Alarcon now has beaten Pluchkin twice head to head on mountain top finishes. Pluchkin still the huge, huge favourite, but at least the Venezuelan looks to give him some kind of fight.

Alarcon the absolute madman, he outsprinted Pluchkin again! Must feel pretty great for Smowz, while I don't cheer against Pluchkin as Avin thinks I still would like to see the mountain goat in pink for a few days and possibly contribute to keep RBH up? Cavendish sure did his part early in the season.

Thriller of a report, thanks danny! Also pretty solid Giro for Bpost so far?

If we are not in the break then the best we can hope for is good performances from Elissonde and Pantano and that's what we got one keeping his positions in GC the other moving up 4 shame about Pichon retiring but he was injured

So close! Amazing ride from Wellens, he is turning into everything I hoped for when I picked him up at level 1. That resistant stat clearly works well on this sort of grinding stage. Up into 7th and the young rider jersey to go along with another stage podium for us. So happy with this race already, now Wellens just has to hold on to that top 7 or so.

Another good report, apparently as long as Kolesnikov is close to a top-10 in GC my riders won't go into breakaways, don't know what I prefer though; a good GC or KoM/stage win...

Very entertaining stage!

Double feeling about the result. Madrazo was in the right group and solidified his podium position a lot, so that's good. But against Alarcon and Pluchkin he lost time right at the end once again. If this continues, beating Alarcon in GC might actually become difficult. Also, if he keeps finishing behind those two in every mountain stage it severely limits his scoring from stage results. He'll need to up his game a little bit.

I'm asking that question too. No reports of a crash in the race, as far as I've seen, but obviously he wouldn't finish 128th, 40 minutes down, if not something had happened?

Yeah my bad, when going through the 3D race I totally missed him crashing (at least I think that is what happened)

Plushkin is getting his Moldovan butt handed to him here... it feels like Quintana - Froome battle from Vuelta the battle between the little man and the big beast.

Cmon Jose stick it to them one more time and make Avin into squeaky bum time!

Good to see Juul-Jensen in the break these last days after some rather dull days for us. Very good effort, a shame that he couldn't hold it all the way in. A bit worried that he'll be empty for tomorrows hilly stage though...

Not a shock to see Guarnieri failing in that sprint. He doesn't seem shaken by the crash he had earlier, so hope that he can save some energy and be at his very best for the final three flat stages.

Congrats to cio on the win. A big show of class from Demaré to beat Van Staeyen in a finish like that.

PS! Seems like you forgot the results, danny Pfft

Time for some attacking, Mr König. Bad to see him losing 3min on a stage like this one... Especially if Howard was able to finish in top 10...
