AMEX's riders enjoy a day in the sun. Hope they enjoyed it a lot because the team bus left when the top 50 were in.

Slightly disappointed as we hoped for a better stage by Cataldo. Staying 7th and rocking the team ranking are still honourable goals... we already had our nice share.
Gratz to Machado, ha and his team did an imposing job so far.

That was very close! Great ride by Nepomnyachsniy, 2nd in the GC, 2 stage wins, lot of good stage results and leading the points classification! Oh this is a good one against relegation, and it gives me hopes that Popovych and Kashechkin may be able to do something in America

So Kwiatkowski scrapes a top 5 by the skin of his teeth, I'll just about take that although along with losing the points and white jerseys this race hasn't been great for us and definitely below expectations.
Disappointed Bookwalter couldn't win either of the TT's despite being the strongest in the race. Congrats to fjhoekie on the win though in an important race for them in the fight for survival. |

Race has really been below expectations. Where's Hoffman? Rabie with a good breakaway ride and finally Hategeka decides to attack (just as I was about to complain about PCM AI making non-GC riders very passive). Bennett with a solid 9th, which he did a good job of holding onto in the TT, although I had hoped for better. Augustyn could really have stepped up further with a top 15, I feel.
All in all, I think we sent a really strong team and have been let down by unfortunate AI once again. (Gosh, really beginning to sound like Avin )

well, Tvetcov missed 7th GC by one second :/ little disappointed but he did all he could with a great TT (Dennis disappointed again in the TT, which is sad to see)
All in all, a stage victory and 8th GC is a damn sight better than what we could have expected, maybe another breakaway on the last stage?

Poor TT from my TT-guys, but good from Levarlet and Juul. Hopefully Docker can do something on the final stage now.

Quite a loss for Machado.. guess he should be more than happy to have delivered that big in the mountains
Congrats to Chernobyl for a strong race (so far)! That's probably key points coming in.

Great to see the top favorite of the race probably winning it. After the bad luck so far for Prio it's hard to say they don't deserve winning this race.
Also great to see Chernobyl taking valuable points, hopefully they can somehow avoid relegation

So if PCM realizes that Geschke should be one of the favourites why is he not trying something?
Risa is the team of the moment.
It even tops it by naming him as top favourite on stage 7
Stahp it plis! That hurts! PCM is mocking me!
Obviously, Geschke with a disappointing race yet again (despite being big favourite on some stages )
Siskevicius with a fine race. 2 BotD appearences and quite consistant performances on the hilly stages put him into a good GC position with only one last stage to come. A good position in the KoM competition adds to that. I still have hopes that he can perhaps join the breaks on the last stage to compete for that last cat.3 mountain as this would increase the point gathering from here again and only one single point is needed for the shared victory which would be cool!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Ouch, that hurt! Like tsmoha said, I'm really glad Machado did lay down the hammer on the Torre stage. I wasn't expecting to suffer such a wide gap on this TT! Hopefully we all drag ourselves quiet and safely down to Lisboa now. Yes guys? Please

AMEX-Navigon's top rider Ian Boswell finished 58th, so no joy in the sponsors hotel room tonight. We had some early success with Boswell and LeGac but long tours do not suit our team composition.
With just 9 races left on our schedule we need to have one more win along the way.

Great TT by K&K!
Somehow oversaw the fact that Nazaret isn't good at TT, so Kangert rising 3 spots in GC is a very pleasant surprise. Now he just has to stay on his bike in the last stage.

God, this relagation battle is tense...
Awesome race for Neppo by achieving probably the maximum result possible here(considering how much stronger Machado..)
Another awesome race for Gazelle again, never stops impressing!
Hoped for better by Salas but can't be dissapointed when we all know how a tough tour affects the TT.

Just wanted to stop by and say that I won't get the tiem to post the final stage until tomorrow.
As a teaser I can say that it's far from a boring parade ride towards the finish line. PLenty of action right from the first km.

Another stroke of luck as Cataldo and Lane are defending their positions by the smallest of all margins.

Destribios has grafted hard, but cannot help be a bit underwhelmed by Red Bulls HC contributions this season. Just not getting in the right moments much like our PT season.
Machado obvious winner but not as dominant as he could have been.

Good TT from Stake Laengen, hopefully giving him a top 20 in the overall classification, not sure I like the teaser from Atlantius in that regard, though
Hoem as expected as well, hopefully nothing extraordinary happens on the final stage, and he'll defend his 11th place.
The final stage is all about that mountain sprint for us. Hopefully Dyrnes is up for it and gets in the right move |
