was it just me or was berti smiling to the camera while froome looked like he is about to get a heart attack?
Was it me or did Froome finish in front of Contador?
It was just you, Froome finished 4th
1 | 9 | VALVERDE, Alejandro | MOV | 3h 49' 37'' | 2 | 101 | RODRIGUEZ, Joaquin | KAT | m.t. 1º | 3 | 181 | FROOME, Christopher | SKY | m.t. 1º | 4 | 201 | CONTADOR, Alberto | STB | m.t. 1º |
Not on my TV, nor in the results.
Hmm, something is fishy because on my tv Contador was just infront of Froome when they went over the line.
But they did cut away when the first two had crossed so he could have moved passed Contador.
Anyways it doesnt mean anything, tomorrow Contador will put the doped Froome in his place.

Guess Contador wasn't bluffing. Makes sense. He has the acceleration, but can't keep up the pace after it. In other words, he's at his early season level.
He'll be a lot stronger as the Vuelta goes on. For now only Froome and the two guys who thrive on stop-start could go with him.
Also, congratulations to Danny Pate on winning the stage, and indeed the entire World Tour.

Time of Froome in great shape: 79 days (and beyond).
23. 21 days in the tour and the olympics. He sucked in Algarve, International and Romandie. Got in shape during the Dauphine.
Yeah, he should tell his body that non-racing days shouldn't be considered in keeping/losing shape
But that's exactly what I was thinking. Was it with any other rider, there'd be a lot more comments about it. But I think we've got so used to Sky's abnormalities that it just got 'normal' that Froome could be the strongest at the Tour and 2nd-top favorite at the Vuelta, even if Contador who is arguably the best stage racer of this generation could't do it last year in Giro-Tour.

I have been there in Arrate and for me Froome will explode on on of the big mountains stage (I know that he rode the TdF). You give 2 kms more to Arrate and Froome would have lost time. AC was tremendous today

I think its fairly certain that if there is one single cyclist in the whole peleton doping, it's Chris Froome... this coming from froome2009fan
That's bad news about Henao. That shouldn't be happening, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were just aiming for the Spiderman himself and got the wrong guy? After all, it's all fun and games until someone other than Schlick or Froome gets hurt right? |
