Gesinlk having a great time weird how this PCM creates bigger gaps in hills then mountains though seems to think every hill stage is a one day race from observations
For my team we seem to have 6 injuries and only 2 guys left standing |

Another great report/stage, have not been talking about my own team since Stage 1 I guess, not much to mention on, but here we go: Up until now an attack by Zakarin, Chernetskiy and Belkov both had a crash. The rest is riding an ok GC so far.
Last stage was kind of an off day for Tinkoff, so the Team Rankings will be hard with eBuddy's support team doing great. But on the positive side, I now have no more riders in the GC top-20. So hopefully the AI will start understanding my team setup. If not it will be even worse than our Giro!

Indeed looking at the profiles, the Vuelta is just getting started!

I don't think my team is planning on letting too many breakaways succeed this Vuelta.

If I'm not mistaken, Gesink's recovery is better than Pluchkin's
If he doesn't crash, I don't think there's any other way for Gesink to lose this now.

Everything depends on daily form this year, secondary stats (68ACC and Gesink accelerates five times like a madman lol) and even main stats (81 MO Guldhammer beating Pluchkin in mountain stage) seem less important than ever.
So with tough mountain stage and 6-7 points differential in daily form, i guess anything is possible...but i dont believe it either to be honest.
Recovery is almost the same for both (79 Pluchkin to 80 Gesink iirc).

Good effort from Koretzky and Lecuisinier. Nice to see my team on the offense for once.
Campero losing 10 minutes hurt though, aswell as giving up the U25 jersey.
Gesink is absolutely killing it. I have to cross my fingers that Spilak can do something similar at the Tour de France.
Fingers are crossed that Coquard can use his strong recovery to get a good sprint result

Unfortunately PCM has that daily form bonus for red which must push Gesink's ACC stat high enough for him to dominate, hopefully Pluichkin is going to go down fighting and we might see a great race in the later stages (fingers crossed)
Thanks for the fantastic reports Roturn!

Gesink looks incredible strong right now! I reckon it will get a bit closer due to the big mountain stages but of course he is the man to beat as of now.
Not surprising that he was one of the strongest on a hilly stage following a mountain stage as he should be fresher than pure puncheur.
Congrats to Mre though as Tejay just have been on a great day to distance Skujins like that! I'm satisfied with Skujins as well. A podium is always okay and looking on the previous stage I always had more ambition for stage 6, 10 and 16.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Ikr.
Let me be. It's the first time since Cornu's brilliant 2010 season I have something to brag about.
As for secondary stats not matter. Acc is not the only secondary stat that matters. I guess Gesink's 80 Res had something to do with his time-trial given the length of that stage.

Another solid ride from Juul-Jensen. Gesink seems unstopable though...

Another disappointing stage for Gazelle. We chase the break and when the big attacks happen Ginanni just sits in the peloton?! He's very similar to riders like Skujins and Van Garderen who finished 1st and 3d, so he can't blame the terrain.
Pretty cool to see the hilly stages have such a big impact on the GC though.

And congratulations on the stage win, Mre, but it's kind of drowning in Gesink's sensational performances, just being in a class of his own of the GC riders on every stage that gives a selection.
Gesink deserves the praise. And I'm pretty sure he gifted TVG the stage win there seeing how fast he closed him down TVG in the last few kilometers. So hats off to him for being a great guy and letting us achieve our season goal with a stage win.
Anyways....
Awesome to see these hilly stages creating huge gaps as well to give TVG a shot at cracking the Top 10 in GC when this is all over. This has the potential to be the best scoring GT race our team has ever participated in.

Gesink is smashing it
I like it a lot.
Pluchkin was horrible in Sierra Nevada. He was also dropped by Etna,Giau and Gran Sasso d'Italia on Alarcon. He was also dropped by San Marino by Madrazo with Giau being his worst stage being dropped by several riders. But it was never as bad as this beating he got on Sierra Nevada. But he showed grit and won that Giro with good defensive riding. He has to go full retard in the mountains even though the terrain doesn't allow it.
Also whoever gets the yellow first from Schleck/Spilak will dominate it if not for a crash.
Also I think people should check the ICL15 results. In Giro Nibali dominated the race because of the pink jersey bonus and in the Tour Contador took the yellow and was dominating the race with 4 or 5 stage wins and with a lead of 5-10 minutes at the end of first 6 days before his crash which made him injured. He still won another stage at the end of the race and finished 3rd overall. |
