Not the worst performance from Talansky, actually i'm quite happy with it. Hopefully a good sign for the season to come.
Not the best AI races from reading, i agree, but hardly the worst either. Continuing to enjoy these races

Meier in the breakaway, I guess that's something to cheer about. Can't really expect much in these races out my cyclists, as I didn't built a team for the mountains.

Surprised to see Sólis almost in the top-10, positive surprise indeed while Rujano was clearly a domestique so i don't blame 17th. Nonetheless they are both looking sharp

That's it for today. You can expect the pre-season to finish strongly tomorrow with a really long team time trial in Bhutan and a race finishing just above the last village on the way up to Mount Everest in Nepal.
I am really happy to see Velits having a great race on his home soil. 6th place is surely above my expectations. Sadly nothing really suprising about the winner. Schleck is boring. Still congrats to Vesuvio/Luxembourg!

Nice 2nd place for Monsalve there, hope he can carry it on into the next season. Yates wasn't great but then with Faiers up front I guess he didn't need to ride.
As for the Asian RR, well I think you can guess my reaction. Especially after so many managers turned down the chance to sign Sembukutti in transfers |

Pretty decent performance by Garby here to be honest. I'll take it.

Do love having Andy Schleck in a mountain classic! Another key title for the collection, and very nice to have an early season opportunity to compete this year - with not so many races on the calendar for him. Great win psychologically too, given the strength of competition.
Great to see Kirsch give it a go as well. Assuming that the B race winner failed to make the time cut!
And thanks for the report Roman, appreciated all the detail throughout, and the regular updates on what was going on behind.

Thank you again for your work with this, Roman! Only one road race left, and I must say it's difficult to see another rider except Schleck to take it.
Encouraging stuff from Guldhammer, I must say. If he can stay at that level through the season, we should be okay in stage races, I think.
Congratulations on the win, SN! Schleck simply shows he has no intentions of letting go of the title as the world's best climber. |

Thanks a lot for all the great reports Roman!
Kwiatkowski not being anywhere near in Europe is an ominous sign for him. But cool to see Schleck win and Pluichkin and Taaramae get a podium for their new mangers.
Intercontinental TTT is kinda hilarious, Europe is too strong.

Sick stuff from Schleck! Congrats, SN.
Oceania not really impressing in the TTT, but Europe is simply a level above.
Thanks for all the detailed reports so far! I can only second SN's comment on this

3 of mine in top30 is just fine. No top 10 is okay seeing the Netherlands surely were riding for Gesink, who then got beaten by Keizer though.
Schleck still a class above all others. Pure domination by him. He probably still is dominating but with Taaramae stepping up I guess, he won`t win as much again. Last year on uphill finishes and GTs, Taaramae was already strong and almost as good as Schleck and even ahead of Spilak several times. Now he should be equal to Schleck at least with the full package. |

Not surprised to see Schleck still being the best. Let's hope that Simon Spilak can upset a little bit here and there. He's much to expensive to get 4-5th places.

Okay, another fall from one of my riders. But I guess these races don't really matter and CT teams can't expect much from them. So let's hope all bad luck will be gone for the rest of the season.
Pls.. |

Haig tried. Which is good to see.
17th for Morton on a course like this was kinda expected, even though I would have preferred to see him trying something like Haig did.
Cool win for Spilak though.
