Wellwell, totalt Italys first half. Especially those last 15 mins I was ready for a goal... 0-0 Still, hopefully Italys patience enda soon and all of there centreback keeps taking dumb tackles.
As Roturn mentioned atleast one penalty, but I can gladly take One in the second half. |

This ref is awful. Feeling like most important man on the green...
Rarely have seen a ref pushing players onto the chest like this and pushing them in discussions. At least in second half doing decent in decisions. |

In defence of referees, players should never be within arms reach of the referee and i absolutely hate seeing how agressive players always get with the referee.
Although it helps if the referee is any good

Agree. I like how it's handled in rugby. Much more respect for refs there. No stops discussions or extra hate.
But this guy is a joke. Making himself one. |

It's his trade-mark. He needs to be the protagonist while refeering.
A few years ago, here he was one of the favourites refs due his different style of refeering, but with the time he has become very annoying with his needs of protagonism

This referee is hilarious, just handing out yellows at random, I liked the moment were he gave one to the Swedish keeper Was there a reason for that, or...?
Amazing to see Sweden is the World Cup though, too bad I won't be here when it's on, got to see Australia qualify now.

Needlessly punched the ball into the field when it bounced back from the barriers after the shot.
Not one to laugh at nations missing out on WCs, but you should be able to score once in three hours of football if you want to be a part of it.

It's a shame Italy are out. But if you can't score in 3 hours of football then there is an obvious defect in your team and you probably don't deserve to be at the World Cup.
Some big countries missing out next year. I still think the winner will come from Germany, Brazil or France.
Next up, the draw in December

The field used in the Australia Vs Honduras game was a poor excuse for a football pitch. Juric not managing to hit the target in a 1 on 1 was disappointing. Would give Australia the upper hand at 0-0.
It was a terrible pitch, but we should be used to it now after some of the grounds in Bangladesh, Iran and most of the Middle East. I'm not really a fan of Juric but in his defence, he got an awful bobble just before making contact with the ball.
With Italy out and both Australia and Ireland hanging by a thread, I might not have a team to support next year.

Good on you Socceroos
HOWEVER
No disrespect to Socceroos, but this kind of qualifying is and getting even worse.
Huge teams with big stars (from mostly Europe) missing out only because the "lesser" known parts of the soccer-world should have even more teams in the finals.
I always thought that those "extra" places from these should be in qualifying against the "better" known teams. Taking the 8 Euro teams should play against the likes of Honduras, Aussie, Kiwis and Peru then it would really be a strength to get to Russia.
The World Cup next time will have even more of the "Blueberry" nations getting shots to join the big party, while quality teams beat each other to join. Bloody shame.
In all honest a team from Honduras would simply get perhaps 1-2 win (if lucky) of 10 against the likes of Italy or Holland. Both of those beaten by Sweden. Which proven to have had a much harder road to Russia then the Socceroos
Yet it's the fourth trip to the finals for the Socceroos, but almost nothing to show on those trips.
Well some teams I guess joins the party only to be spoilers and also-runs.
Don't be too mad at me, since I really happy Australia made it and hoping even the Kiwis makes it too. Both hard fighting teams and the finals in Russia perhaps needs this kind of teams too. Always a shot to mess up the bigger nations plans during the first round, and then quietly return home.
