Somewhat disappointed with Vastaranta missing out in the hills and dropping a few places in the GC. 5th is still a decent results of course.
Nice to see Pökäläs effort on the final stage. A great ride rewarded with a very good result.
Congatulations to Carlsberg and thanks for the reports.

Great race, the GC was up for grabs right until the final kilometre on stage 5.
Nothing race for CT favourites Compal-Merida: maybe they want to make promotion difficult? If they brought Kozontchuk they could have had a top 5 GC.
Huge race for Strava, justifying my Top 10 in the rankings prediction for the time being.
De Maar takes the GC win, so I will make back some PCM$. But, as most of the MG odds offer no value I will likely be at 0$ in no time at all. |

Very nice last stage for us, with Kriek taking the stage win it came as a bit of a surprise but I like that the team actively looks for its chances and I hope this will continue in future races.
Goal completed! Besides that, a stage win, some podium places, two guys in Top 10, four in Top 20, best team. I'm pretty happy with Strava's first stage race experience, may we continue like that. Favilli sprinting like a madmen on that last stage, must be the insanely high recovery of his.
Overall, I loved the quality of the competition here. It made for some exciting racing and provided a great GC battle as well as a thriller on each stage for the win itself. Very good teams by the looks of it that should make for a great (stage race) season in CT.
Thanks roturn for some great, detailed reports and some incredible pace, which made it all a joy to follow.

Why do my guys never get involved in any fu*ing breakaway?
Second places, second places everywhere, as it seems All of them are pretty valuable though! Molard with an extraordinary 2nd place in the GC, Moser with an (unexpected?) 2nd place in the Youth Ranking and Generali just behind Strava in the teams' ranking. Plus the 2nd place in the 5th stage by the Almighty Molard. But on top of that a stage win by Boaro! Good race all in all for us
Thanks roturn!

Thanks for the great reports and pace Roturn
Congrats to De Maar, deserved GC victory
Looking at Chiquita, the race went better than expected. Decent GC position for Kinney, may have been a bit higher but seventh is good enough for me in the end. Shame Le Montagner crashed on stage 5 and lost the youth classification, else it would've been an amazingly good race for us.
Anyway, this race deserves a banana:

Thank you for the reports Roturn! And thank you for ahving some good PCM AI for me.
I didn't see my team having a lot of success this year, so to take my first stage race ever this early is a huge boost to my confidence. De Maar is just a legend!

As said before: great reports and good racing overall. Thanks for that.
Pleased to see Sulzberger come away with a fairly good GC. Also De Maar as a deserved winner is fair enough. I do have some sympathy for Langeveld, so it's nice to Strava going for two in the Top-6.
Congrats to all, who feel that they did well here

Congrats to Carlsberg - de Maar delivering as expected (I bet on him for the GC ). Some other teams also scoring heavily with multiple guys on GC and in stages, Strava, Generali, etc. - these teams must be in quite a healthy position in the earlt CT standings.
Think Benelux was a better race this year than last - better racing and more sensible overall GC, with a little bit of uncertainty with a break or 2 surviving - although critical of other race performances, I give the PCM AI a solid B+ here ,

Yes very pleasing result and in general a well reported race. Bbl has a nice diamond in De Maar, you always feel you have a chance with such rider.
