I am somehow starting to believe the reporters play on easy and with Eddie Stobart rather than on normal and with the control team

That one time when Gajek is podium in a mass sprint...
Wyss deserved winner in the end. He was one of the biggest favourites and justified this. Huge result for In-An-Out !!! |

What does everyone have against Joseph that they keep chasing him? :/
Anyway, mountain jersey is a nice consolidation award. Thank you Mr E for the great reports!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Great reports, and great result for TomTom. I gave up when Duggan lost time at the start, but Lebris pleasantly surprised me here

Great Reports, a stage win and a 5th place (and mountains jersey?) is not bad considering it wasn't a strong team I sent here

At least Niki tried. 4th and 12th is not a bad result at al. We didn't meet the team's goal here but on second look it wasn't very reasonable. We'll pick up our luggage and move on to the onslaught of C1 cobbles we will fail at.

Yannick Stoltz is a beast
8th in GC is great. He seems to be the most reliant point scorer for me (till now)
If that continues like that I will have a lot of fun with him...
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Awesome reports and presentation. Thanks a lot, Mresuperstar!
First victory of the season by an incredibly strong overall performance of Marcel Wyss. Today it's time to celebrate... tomorrow we have to talk about execution. It couldn't be, that Marcel with 40 km to go starts hunting down any attack on the yellow jersey by himself (even if he's feeling great). Other than that the whole team did a great job in it's first european race.

Hahahahaha the one time Gajek actually contends for the sprint, it's in the sprint for 9th. Oh well, let's hope it's a sign for better things to come. Apart from that, I think I can live with 17th overall for Jelloul, it's at least something.
Thanks for the reports Mre. Very smooth and at a good pace.
Congratulations to Vontobel, In'n'Out, Eddie Stobart and Wounded Warrior for a great race.
Luckily for us, the next race is in Middle East, hopefully with some more points in it.

A strange stage race, though often stage races with cobbles in tend to lead to some strange behaviour at times.
Actually stage racing has been a little random all over the shop.
The variety and quality of reports have been right up there as has the pace - really enjoyable one from the master story teller!

Once 2nd, two times 3rd, once 6th, once 7th, 2nd in Points. I guess I can be happy with this race, generally.
Also, I really hate how PCM works on cobbles. It just sucks. If there's only 5 meter cobblestone-section in one stage, all best cobblers are going to attack and they're having huge plus there, as the scale of FL-COB is 50/50. So, on flat, it's not the only FL what counts, but COB also. Which leads to the fact that - IT SUCKS, TOTALLY.

No, I don't think it's 50/50 at all in a stage like this.

Thanks guys, nice to know I can still write quality in-depth race reports since my last story didn't really have many of those.
Very pleased with how the game play worked out, made for a very interesting but realistic race. Very fun as a spectator see the yellow jersey switch hands 4 times in 6 stage race.

Can you please explain me then the situations on 4th and 6th stages? Last one barely had any cobbles in it, while 4th stage had some, but definitely not ones that should make huge problems (which happened) for some guys that are strong on flat and close in GC (read Bole), but a bit weaker on cobbles.

I don't think it's necessarily stat-related, it's just the PCM AI being drunk

Wasn't in this race, but interesting stage results throughout
Well done on the reports Mre, and congrats to all those "underdog" teams placing well!

Haha, I forgot that Farabaugh was even on my team, and then he won. I read the report from the toilet, and I shit you not, I jumped up when I saw I won. Fantastique, allez!
