So apparently Lucas sold the Starwars brand for charity. $4.05 billion will go to a charity devoted to improving education.
I had a lot of respect for Lucas after he decided that, instead of turning his ranch in a posh county of California into a studio, that he would instead stick it to the NIMBY neighbors who complained about his planned studio and turn the ranch into low income housing. I have a bit more respect for him now. I'm even willing to shell out for tickets when the new movies come out.
Right, so I ve seen Skyfall now and I have to say, It is better than Quantum of Solace, but still shite...
As mentioned before, Daniel Craig still cant act! He is awful throughout the film! (Why in gods name did they notl on take brosnan back then in the caasino royale days. Id even be happier with Jason Statham as Bond than with Craig!!!)
The only decent acting was by Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes!
The plot takes ages to develop and is very flat and easy to forsee...
Since the movie is a preqeuel to Dr. No again, it still amazes me, how the Bond films can start with Dench as M and finish with her as M (Die another day). And yes, this has to be seen as a prequel to Dr. No thanks to the intro of money penny!
I am also hugely disappointet by Thomas Newman and his use of the bond theme, which wasnt used enough and in the wrong moments in my opinion... (Davd Arnold once said, that you cant be afraid of using it, but Newman clearly was...)
Overall, I cant understand the hype about skyfall & D. Craig as Bond. Right now, Collin Farrell or Jason Statham seem much more appealing as future Bonds... And im pretty sure Cubby Brocoli woud turn in his grave if he could see what his daughter has done to his legacy after "Die another day"...

An impressive thing to do from him. Much lost respect over the years has returned with me also
In other news, I'm on my fourth movie in a row, and in 4 different languages. the first was English, the second Japanese, the third Russian, and the fourth Australian
I've had a depression for one and a half years now, and over the last few weeks I just noticed I could really enjoy things again, I felt less moody each day, etc.
So, well; yay!
Didn't see this till now but that definitely calls for a Banana or two!

I never found Australian films particularly difficult to understand. Slightly more than US English, but much easier than British English (which is the kind of English I struggle the more with).
Just spent 1hr 25mins writing up a preview for MFS
and another hour earlier writing the comments to go in it
Spent 3-4 hours stage making
Spent 2 hours DB testing for MFS
....
I need a life on sundays
Right, so apparently, anyone who ever got a jersey made from me, owes me some money. A member just sent me a PM, saying, I should not takemoney for graphics work... I didnt notice that I ever received money, so... Time to collect it!
So, lets say 5 quid per jersey is fair, right?
