A Thai GC podium for Mano is defintiely something positive to take from here, but given how badly Gidich was performing we're also here not meeting our expectations. The hilly stages were awful and also in the TT he was not performing according to his stats. I'm very worried about the rest of the season for Gidich. Hope this was mainly due to the rather light hilly stages.
Thanks for the reports kandesbunzler and congrats Eden! |

Konychev seemed super strong up front! A pity they attacked each other far too early and emptied themselves that way, I suspect. Groenewegen almost being in contention on such a stage was fun, but admittedly he just lacked the energy needed to get to the very front in the sprint and leadout.
Groenewegen made this a good race for us, though, as the stage win and 3rd in the points jersey must be considered good and fine for us Not huge points, but also very far from a dry race points wise. |

Two in the top 10, a stage win and decent stage performances to boot. It was a decent race for us here but not a great one.
Thanks for the reports and congrats to Eden for the win!

Oh wow, what an amazing thing a 35-year-old Houle stage win would have been in his return to the team. Not to be, though, but happy enough with this final stage getting Pidcock into the Top 5. Not what we may have dreamt of but a solid result after his disaster Portugal. Thanks for the great reporting kb and congrats Eden on a deserved win - good to see Dunbar delivering at a new level

I didn't have much expectations for this race, but we still managed to under deliver on low expectations.
Congrats to the winners and thanks to KB for some well written reports.

GC wise obviously horrible with Vansevenant not really trying.
Though at least Hopkins unexpected and Guerreiro with the nice win compensate. Not really enough if the GC points miss later on but at least decent.
Thanks for the reports. |

Lecuisinier proved today that he is a top2 climber in this startlist even if he cant make the step onto the podium. But what a messy stage this was. Im glad that i had stacked my lineup so much as that early move was very scary (and why again against me? ), kinda wish we had prepared the final move a bit more to reduce the group of favourites before the final attack.
The race feels like a huge loss as its a significant part of Lecuisiniers race days already. And considering no other race really worked out well for us, one has to question already whether we are still that overwhelming favourite for the title that most of you saw...
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Great efforts by Yamamoto and Ruiz for that KoM-jersey, but they were just not strong enough sadly.
Lopez Nolasco should have done better in GC, without the unnecessary time loss he could have finished around that top-10. But I guess sometimes plans don't work out as you hope.
Thanks for the great reports, and congratulations to Eden and also my good old boy Zmorka at Sony for the great results!

Congrats Eden!
Shame the hilly stages in this race turned out so unselective. Hope that's not going to be the new standard for this type of race.

Amazing reports, too bad my team did a no show during the whole race and for some reason half of the team dropped back on stage 5 to safe... Banaszek I guess? But even though my team was terrible the reports were really fun to read, which says a lot thanks kandesbunzler26!
