Great win by McCarthy. Would have liked to see Costa do something today, but in the end I feel relieved with the gaps not being relevant for the GC.

What do you prefer? Another stage today and then the next on Sunday evening?
Or another stage tomorrow and then on Sunday evening again?
I might struggle to write something tomorrow and could only post what I write now and will be offline until Sunday afternoon then. |

If we're doing good, now.
If we're doing bad, tomorrow.

Another weird AI decision to let Ben Nasser go. Probably the big gap allowed him to think he does not play a role.
While I lost the GC lead I obviously can`t complain as Bazzana did really well still. Losing to Kelderman, McCarthy etc. was expected. Staying that close and within some others surely wasn`t. Also Boom in that group is cool as he defends his GC this way, which was actually my pre race goal to get a late top10 with Boom.
Villella unfortunately was gapped after his effort but still ahead of the later groups and a decent GC by him as well so far.
It`s actually impressive to see Boom chasing here. This guy is a machine. Reminds me a lot on Tony Martin real life pulls. Pure power guy.
Tomorrow then probably no report as I couldn`t store them and won`t have much time tomorrow and only be at home Sunday afternoon at the earliest. |

Worst scenario coming alive here. A pity that Olsson didn't just drop completly, killed all our other GC hopes (and also the "wrong" man staying near the front in the end). Horrible, just horrible. Also wow, Ben Nasser. Just an extremly weird stage.

Nice to see Changpad active again. A shame it wasn't enough to score any Mountain Points. |

Such crazy, much random wow!
There doesn't seem to be any kind of tactical sense in this race. Perhaps that is due to the intensely packed field of favourites here. Anyway, someone's gotta win, so congrats Froomedog. It's kind of sad to see Craven embark in the same venture, but meeting a different fate.
Not a bad day for Costa actually, but I would be lying if I didn't say I was expecting to see him higher in the GC by now.
Thanks for your commitment roturn

Well, GC is already down the drain. All that's left are stage results for the remainder of the tour. Trying to get into the breaks is appreciated.

The team is looking anonymous, that said having sent my best riders stateside it is to be expected.

AMEX-Navigon had their 2nd good stage in a row. Oliver LeGac took 2nd place on the stage and moved up to 3rd in the GC. He also leads the U25 category. Following LeGac we have three more riders in contention to earn points.
Ian Boswell is currently 19th, Dieter Mehr-Wenige is 22nd and Fabio Taborre is hanging on to 42nd.
Keep pushing forward.
