Kononenko <3
Can we please stop the race now? I'd take 2nd, 6th and 7th in the GC here

d4e - I am pretty sure it is called getting screwed, sadly.
Hmmm. Fair enough, third is OK. I thought we might turn the deficit after the early split.
Behind TT1 though?! (Sure they had a good TTT train but top3?)
I hope insulin is all they are injecting themselves with.
5 more points, is a long slow road to safety. |

Extremely happy with Anaconas ride on stage 5 and quite content with the TTT as well. 3rd in both GC and team competition at this point is great.

What? I hoped to gain time instead my team gets last...
79, 75, 73, 73 f'ck I missed a 5th good TT here...
Instead I sent a lot of riders who cant sit on a TT bike.
I should have sent Wetterhall (75) Johansson(77) or even Klostergaard (71), it´s easy to be wise in hindsight. |

Crazy result in the TTT. Second place for the team that comes last in team classifications for fun |

Nice ride by the Eritel boys to keep the race lead. A great place to be in before the first mountains.

8th place? Really expected better than that - top 5 at least. Didn't expect Eritel to gain time on us. So, looks like no Tour of America lead for us. Now Augustyn just needs to pull out that miracle performance I've been waiting for for almost 2 seasons.

6'35'' down already. Walter, I need you to channel your inner climber again. Bring back the Tour of Southland Walter for this two weeks. |

Hooray for being mediocre!
Happy it was just 39 km, having only five guys barely making it with reasonable losses. This could've been a lot worse.

Suprisingly good TTT from the Minions, had never expected a top 10, let alone 6th place.

After a terrible day it's always nice to see the boys motivated to take the triumph there in the TTT. However it's heart wrenching to see Reis so far down the ranks after these last couple of stages. Having brought a solid TT squad here I had hoped to see him, at the very least, safely within the top10 by now.
Argh... I don't feel like I should be complaining about bad luck, seeing how some managers have had it worse than me, but it seems there is frequently an overwhelming moment of inconsistency in our way.
Anyway, this is a pretty long race and there is still much to happen. Stay optimistic guys and remember Gomez Marchante

Petar!!! It's early i know but PCM seems to have decided to be nice to him and i'm quite excited now. Great stage for him and even an attack, please be a sign of what's to come for the rest of his GC battle. And as always, more stage points in the bag.
Now we just need those COC riders to slip backwards and this relegation fight could get very tasty between a host of teams at this rate.
Trying very hard to not get excited but i'm feeling really fiesty right now

I like that top 10 of the GC quite a bit, however when we are realistic we should say that Kononenko is likely to fall a few more places. Popovych and Kashechkin have use a Sky-style of climbing at a consitent pace, limiting losses on every MTF, and they did just that on this stage, so a good effort I'd say.
