Euskal Bizikleta
Welcome to the 4th edition of Euskal Bizikleta, it has been 4 years since the last edition of this race and the C2 race will definitely be back on the calendar after this year. Juan Jose Cobo (2011), Aleksandr Efimkin (2010) and Angel Vicioso (2009) are the previous winners here and now we have this years version under way.
We are honored with the presence of 13 CT teams this year and across the 4 stages both Punchers and Sprinters will have their say in this exciting race. There are of course the bigger Puncher names in the mix this year, but the race does not have the hardest hills on the calendar. So it could be that the lesser known puncher can win here

We are here with Dowsett and a strong team to back him up. Alex rode well in South Africa and a similar display would be more than welcomed
Thanks for the preview danny

slightly regretting the abscence of Bole here, but he has other options to shine...but what the hell is wrong with teams like Xero not shining up here?

Lets go Simon Yates! Could be a thread on most stages here. Julian as well is one to watch. Not sure about Soupe/Ewan but had race days spare so thought why not. Then there's Nardin who could do a 2013 at any moment.... Just want to bag a solid set of points to keep the promotion on track

Interesting stage race this, anything can happen in every stage and this is CT, so even more so. Would like Ferrero to win a GC here with Barbin. Or Pavarin. Or Grivko or Gavazzi or Krizek. Or any rider of their team basically, cause they all can on paper
That said, many of the teams here have great line ups, MOL-OMV and Sauber do have great squads. Looking forward to the reports.

We are all in for Klemme here and hoping for a great showdown with Dowsett and Barbin on the final climb on stage 4. Top 3 would be a great result.

Given the restrictions on the ability of my riders here, I'm not expecting anything really. I am hopeful that my guys gets something from breakaways

Did not expect Bille to be in the mix at the end, and taking 5th place is a good result.
Thanks for the report danny

Missed this . Finally racing in the hills again with about as good a line-up as we can send. Hopefully Barbin is strong enough to compete with Klemme and Dowsett. Our team strength should give for good point scoring anyway.
Also looks very good for Gavazzi to take seconds in the first 3 stages so he can hopefully snatch a stage win and stay up high in GC. Good start in the first stage for him.

10th place is good from Terasaki, 15th for Klemme is surprising, hope this means he is on good form.

Awang only came here as a token Sprinter, he had extra race days but I wasn't expecting anything from him considering how hilly the flat stages look.
Now we move onto the interesting part of the race where my Hilly depth will hopefully be enough to get someone in the break that has a decent chance of standing up to the elite.
The downhill finish on stage 3 screams Schurter to me, I've just got to hope that he agrees and digs deep to not get dropped before it.
I'd like to think Hugentobler will be given some freedom considering we have both Othman and Schurter who are more likely to be the marked men from my squad.
P.S. sorry for not commenting until now but I have been without a screen for my computer all week after the old one died and I've only just been able to replace it.
