Hugo Boss is for the first time entering the Mangame!
Formerly known as ONCE-Eroski and BNCR, the team is definetely not new to the world of cycling.
This is now the teams 4th consistent year in the game.
Heading into the second year in Pro-Continental cycling, the team definetely have ambition for a upper half-placing.
The manager will remaign the same even with the sponsor swap. Mr.Dev look forward to challenge the cycling one more time!
Eventhough Hugo Boss is a german brand, the marketing managers of the company agreed to continue the spanish nationality of the team. Considering Hugo Boss is huge other places than germany aswell, no german riders were necessary to keep the sponsors happy.

Hugo Boss will be our main sponsor for the 2016 season. It will be our only major sponsor aswell this year.
ONCE & Eroski will both step down from last year. Both will still remaign supporting of the team for atleast one more year.
Banco Nacional de Costa Rica will also continue their sponsorship. The fact we got the current Costa rican NC winner convinced them to stay.
Giant are our bike providers.
Sportful are where we get our clothing supplements.
Co-sponsors:
Organización Nacional de Ciegos Españoles (ONCE) Eroski Banco Nacional de Costa Rica Giant Manufacturing Sportful

After a some thrilling NC-events, we endet up with two different NC-winners. Which is something we can be satisfied with.
Those two are; Team legend, Marco Guillén and the newcomer to the team, Klever Cuasquer.
Guilléns NC:
Cuasquers shirt:
We were originally planning to letting go Guillén this off-season. Since he have been doing much better in CT earlier than in PCT this season. He were top ten in CT last year (as the only sprinter aswell).
But considering his NC-triumph and no new team whom focues on his area joined the MGUCI, is it likely that he will stay with the team!

Damn, Guillén was on my wishlist
Anyway, understandable that he stays after his NC victory. Let's hope he can do a bit better than last year and achieve some good results for you

I've said that it's likely that he will stay
Though Guillén didn't really impress me at PCT level - scoring just two second places! So if a good offer comes along, specially from an american team.. I will look to getting a new main sprinter from spain

Good to hear!
And technically we'll be riding under a Guatemalan license for next season, so we might try and get a few Central Americans

Transfer Rumours
Its been rumoured for a while now that alot changes is going to happen at Hugo Boss.
Manager Dev, said in a press release; 'Its no secret our first season in PCT didnt go as planned. Finishing not even top twenty is fair below expectations and we cannot afford a similar season like that again. Therefore alot of cyclists who didnt perform as expected, will have to look elsewhere to continue their procycling career.'
When he later got asked of whom he would most like to get, he replied; 'There's one colombian wonderclimber who have caught our eyes, and is currently at a disbanding'
Hint:
Mr. Dev continued with saying that he wasn't the only rider he had in mind. There's definetly no certainality that our strongest riders for next year will even be GC-riders like it have been previous years.

Pre-renewals Roster
As you can see, our top riders are declining, so we are gonna have to splash the cash to get a some new leaders. We also have some younger talents who didn't quite live up to their expectations last year and might get swapped out during transfers. Anyway, we are certain of a hectic renewals and transfer period with lots of changes in total. This team is gonna get a massive overhaul otherwise we might get a overhaul in the management department, according to the rich owner of Hugo Bossâ„¢

Transfer Availability
After realising how bad our debt really was last year, we were certain that changes was gonna be needet. Thats why we wont (hopefully) lay all our hopes of success on the shoulders of one guy, like we have tend to in the past.
Some of the un-resigned riders are aging, others are just not quite good enough. But especially with the new wave of slovenian teams comming through, we might just make life a little easier for them!
The riders who didn't make a new contract, but we thank dearly for working with us:
Janez Brajkovic Nejd Kosic Kanstantsin Khviyuzau Imanol Erviti Rodolfo Villalobos
Here comming who we feel are good enough to be worth keeping, and perhaps trading/selling if the right offer comes along.
Here's the riders who are most likely to stay:
Tom Jelte Slagter Mikel Landa Aberlardo Ablenado Richard Antonio Carapaz Mario Gonzalez Salas Klever Cuasquer Thomas Bonnin Miguel Angel Benito Jesús Herrada Pablo Mudarra Jose Luis Cano Miguel Minguez Ayala
Sorry for the costa rican and dutch interested teams who would want to make an offer for Mudarra and Slagter, but they are our first maxed out lvl. 1 riders and will be tested out a year atleast, before they get sold on!
And here's the riders who could be replaced, if there's any significant interest:
Igor Antón César Rojas Villegas Marco Guillén Nazar Jumabekov Jarlinson Pantano Gómez
All these are resigned and even better, at great wages! So we definetely want to keep them, but we might need the cap space and the funds for other projects. Besides, there are teams whom focus areas are much more fitting than ours (except for Antón perhaps), so keeping those riders away from them, is something we don't necessarily have to do.

Our new leader has arrived
After deciding that the team needet some fresh blood, manager mr.dev took his coat and started travelling around, searching far and wild for the most fitting capable point scorers. The biggest name he came home with was..
Our big name this season, will be yet again, another slovenian. We are proudly giving you:
Yup, thats right! Marko Kump will be our big name this upcomming season. His speciality lies on bumpy stages which often ends in a bunch sprint. His kick, describet by his competitors, is simply incredibly. He is simply that fast that he can even challenge on flat stages aswell.
