A late season classic with some great riders in the winner list such as Ricco, Ignatiev or Froome. The route has changed a bit since the first edition but was kept in comparison with the most recent years. Flat until the very end where a double climb should decide about the winner.
As C1 race only you could think the startlist is not the very best. But the prestige of the race is high enough to deliver a HC worthy field. The division`s best puncheurs are here and will fight for the win.
| Fl | Mo | Hi | | Fl | Mo | Hi | Di Maggio | 65 | 65 | 82 | Boily | 67 | 76 | 78 | McCarthy | 70 | 67 | 81 | Kwiatkowski | 72 | 77 | 78 | Kelderman | 70 | 71 | 80 | Mehr-Wenige | 74 | 66 | 78 | van der Hugenhaben | 73 | 77 | 80 | Pozzato | 78 | 62 | 77 | Klemme | 71 | 74 | 80 | Juul-Jensen | 73 | 70 | 77 | Monfort | 72 | 72 | 79 | Chaves | 70 | 74 | 77 | Ben Nasser | 69 | 69 | 79 | Furdi | 73 | 71 | 77 | Levarlet | 69 | 74 | 79 | Felline | 68 | 66 | 77 | Betancourt | 69 | 73 | 79 | Vakoc | 70 | 70 | 77 | Efimkin | 70 | 71 | 78 | Prevar | 72 | 71 | 77 | Craven | 72 | 70 | 78 | Vogt | 72 | 61 | 77 | Bellis | 75 | 68 | 78 | Hategeka | 68 | 72 | 77 |
5 riders with a stat of at least 80. Di Maggio, McCarthy and Kelderman have all proven their worth several times while van der Hugenhaben and Klemme still struggle to show some kind of consistency.
With Monfort, Ben Nasser, Betancourt, Craven, Bellis or Kwiatkowski more riders are here though to challenge the stronger ones and all of those already have performed on a very high level and surely must be watched.
In the promotion fight this race is most interesting for Puma (Kelderman), Gazelle (Monfort/Pozzato) and Kenya (Ben Nasser). Also Aegon (Bazzana) could score well here (just kidding). Actually they are not here just like Bpost.
Evonik and Karcher surely hope for a breakaway race to not lose too much contact.
Going down into the relegation area two clear winners are possible here. First and most obvious Vontobel (Di Maggio), who must hope for a big performance and the end of relegation fear while Chernobyl has small chances of a San Sebastian repeat with Prevar.
Only other teams of the relegation zone are Siam with the guy I don`t spell and Stobart with their outsider squad.

Much stronger startlist here, compared to Emilia. Levarlet has his future to race for in these last races of the season, so hope he can show something together with Juul-Jensen.

No expectations here so I'll let myself surprise.

Changes nothing anyways as this will be a 0 pointer. |

Yes, I basically just signed up because this is an Italian race. Less role playing and we would be in the direct promotion spots by now
Looking forward to see how bad it can really be, but I am expecting a 0 pointer so that I can be delighted if any of our lads do anything remotely worth mentioning.
Thanks for the quick save roturn, picking Di Maggio for this one.

Reckon Kwiatkowski will be a threat here with his mountain stat. Will be interesting to see who places better of him and Ben Nasser.
Thanks for taking over roturn, looking forward to the race. |

cio to wrap up the third place finish here.
Vontobel really need Di Maggio to perform here and my gut says that he will at least top 5.

Top 5 would be awesome!
My gut told me Di Maggio will be better at Giro d'Emilia. Fingers crossed we'll both proved right.
Thanks for picking this one up, roturn!

I really need Craven for close to a top 5 and Hategka needs a top 15 as well - we need some points to move up the rankings.

AMEX does not have our best finishers here. We need to get in the breakaway and make it last.

Let's see if Prevar can save my team. Probably not as Efimkin is in this race.

Glad we sent Kwiatkowski here now, with Ben Nasser back in the peloton with many of the other big puncheurs. He always seems to deliver, whatever the competition. Another few points to help us keep Evonik at a distance.
Thanks for the report roturn, especially after stepping in on short notice. Congrats Dippo as well. |

Well 38th-87th-102nd is not that much worse than I could ever expect from my low-end CT puncheurs squad in a PCT peloton...
Had to expect McCarthy would do really well in this one. What happened to Kelderman? Saved his energies for the upcoming Emilia? Van den Hughenaben continues to prove how inconsistent he is, although here he was bound to do better since this is a long climb and he doesn't need acceleration that much. Prevar though
Very nice report roturn, congrats Dippo!
