Colombian Venteaux
Colombian Venteaux a new C1 classic, undoubtedly for the climbers. The race is 137.7km and mostly follows a circuit around Antioquena before moving onto Parimo Frontino or the Colombian Venteaux:
A very hard climb with a steep beginning section and a steep finish with an easier section in between, the climb has a maximum gradient of 17.5% and peaks at 2520 metres of altitude, whoever can make it up here first will be a worthy winner of Colombian Venteaux
Favourites: Rider | Mo | Hl | Rider | Mo | Hl | Intxausti | 82 | 71 | Antón | 79 | 74 | Sella | 81 | 74 | Moschella | 79 | 69 | Rujano | 81 | 73 | Samwel | 79 | 70 | Keizer | 81 | 71 | Talansky | 79 | 75 | Brajkovic | 81 | 76 | Pantano Gómez | 79 | 71 | Van den Broeck | 81 | 76 | Cataldo | 78 | 75 | Kiserlovski | 80 | 75 | Panayotov | 78 | 72 | Marquez | 80 | 71 | Pedraza | 78 | 71 | Nerz | 80 | 72 | Stetina | 78 | 67 | Eastman | 80 | 71 | Quintana | 78 | 72 | Nazaret | 80 | 71 | Aru | 78 | 74 |
Plenty of climbers here today, the main favourite is Intxausti but if the beginning hills have an effect it could favour Brajkovic or Van den Broeck more, other favourites include Sella, Rujano and Keizer.
The home favourites here are Quintana, Pantano Gómez and Pedraza although unfortunately for home fans their are no home top favourites.

Yep, another mistake to participate here. I'll be very careful with C1 races next year...

lets end the season on a bang, shall we Brajko?
Would be nice with some minor points from Pantano and Anton aswell.
Also why is Quintana a home favourite and not Pantano?

Not sure why I missed him I'll add him and Pedraza who I also seemed to miss.

This is worse than the cobbles...
A home race so we had to participate anyway but I wasn't expecting it to look this bad.

I could maybe have snatched a top 30 if I went here. Glad I didn't |

If I don't win this with this squad, better send Pedraza to retirement home and Moschella and Rujano to the firing hall.
Ah wait, climbing dept means fuck all in this game, my bad. |

Samwel... not expecting anything big from him after doing almost nothing all season and with such a big startlist here. A top 10 would be really nice though if he can pull it off. |

Nope, gonna get a minimal result here. Should always be fun to see so many similar riders battle though, real RNG factor in who's gonna do well and who's gonna flop

Not a whole lot of expectations here, would love to see some attacking at least get our jersey out in front for a bit, and would settle for any points we get in this race.

If I had known that Roy would have been such a flop this season, I definitely would have sent Bonsucro down to the whole hog of South American races - c1-c2.
Some points nabbed here will 'do us'. Looking at the rankings, I guess we will be happy if Talansky misses the top 10. Woe be us if the disbanding Nutresa pass us in the death throes of the season .... again. |

My whole team is capable of winning this from the breakaway so we'll be hoping for that.

Eastman has done well in the mountainous classics. We expect him to deliver once again. After all, we need the points. We'll have to wait and see whether or not he is winning material though.
Intxausti for the win (dare I say it?)

Seeing that Machado and Contador are not here, even better decision to send Keizer here instead of PT wilcard TTT. |

Yeah it works out really well that some of the top guys are missing.
VDB aiming for a top 5 but top 10 is fine too.

Damn, that's a good chance for Keizer to score some more.

Nerz...
If you wanna stay in the team, better don't score, because your renewals day will be horrible for you anyway.

Our only visit to South America this season. Hope Cataldo, Penasa, Maillet can gain additional points for the relegation battle.
