Duo Differdange
The (Pro) Continental Tour's prestigious TT-event goes into it's sixth edition since being introduced in the year 2010. With Michael Rogers and Michael Ford (Oz Cycling) missing this year, we will see a new winner after two years of Oz-domination here.
Or will we see a former race-winner on the top? Kai Reus (2012, 2010) and Lucas Schädlich (2012) should be amongst the most promising duos this year.
The 45km parcours is mostly flat, though featuring a few minor speedbumps, that didn't really hurt guys like Michael Ford in the past years..
The Startlist and Favorites Teams | TT | | Teams | TT | Fiedler | 83 | | Rolland | 77 | Balloni | 78 | | Boaro | 77 | Keizer | 81 | | Haugard | 79 | Schädlich | 80 | | Stenersen | 75 | Reus | 79 | | Zoidl | 76 | Flens | 78 | | Hofer | 76 | Van Winden | 80 | | Gonzalez Salas | 78 | Beukeboom | 76 | | Erviti | 75 | Bookwalter | 79 | | Gretsch | 77 | Bodnar | 77 | | Westra | 75 | Stannard | 79 | | Joeaar | 78 | Dennis | 76 | | Zabriskie | 75 | | | | Breschel | 62 | | | | Baugnies | 62 |
Let's start with the PCT's premium chrono-specialist Fiedler. The German probably targets any single timetrial in the division this year, so even though lacking a truly outstanding partner here, he will do anything to pull Karcher to a victory.
Former Duo-winner Schädlich and Keizer will build the only double-80 duo. Something, that Oz brought the win in the past two years. Definitely the most promising team beside Karcher. So also a kinda inner-German battle maybe.
Reus, who's Top-10'd this event four times (winning two), is a well known face here. Going for the podium should be the main goal: same goes for TomTom (Van Winden), Kenya (Bookwalter) and maybe cycleYork (Stannard), too. Hard to predict those teams behind the top-favorites though.
One things should be certain: AMEX will just take those "easy" points..

Why are AMEX even in this
Didn't expect we could realistically fight for the Top 5! Hopefully PCM randomness in tts won't strike again and we'll have some expected winners. Will pick Karcher considering they're pretty lucky lately as well.

The most anticipated race so far, my win goal.
The victory does not seem easy with the presence of the doubles Keizer/Schädlich and Reus/Flens.
Some of the TT's we have seen seem to end with results somewhat randomly, but the victory of Fiedler in Rundfahrt gives me hope that once again the logic can prevail and that the fight for victory is between those who have the skills for it.
Obviously whatever is below the podium will be a big disappointment.
PS: Can someone explain me how does it work the points system in this race?

A podium here would be nice, although I'd take a top 5 finish considering so far TT's have been a bit unpredictable and there seems to be a lot of teams around our level.
Will be interesting to see if Fiedler can drag Karcher to victory. Aegon could beat them though, it should be a great battle.

Who is Rothaus, froomedog?
Clearly a win is wished due to the win goal. Seeing how tts are sometimes random I fear missing it.
1-2 is a must here as karcher is equal strength.
Everything below is highly disappointing with that duo. Please don't let this happen. |

Whoops, sorry roturn. Not used to the change yet I guess
AMEX makes no sense. Sending riders to pick up free points here seems logical, but sending two of their top riders who can't TT seems like a strange thing to do when they could have sent domestiques. |

I hope that my team can make a nice podium here, but I would be happy with a high amount of points
Good luck everybody

Wow, Im not even the worst team here
Cant really have expectations with my line-up, could've choosen to send Janez, but decidet for Isle man itt instead. We might have been in podium contesting then
Anyway the battle between Fiedler vs. Aegon is gonna be great! The battle for the last podium spot is gonna be tight though!

Could have done good here with my 79/78 duo, but had to chose between this and boring flat classic, and Ukraine, I believe.
Well, well. We'll be here with an even stronger team. Good luck to the participating teams. My bet is on Aegon..

Don't expect a great result here, because my best TT riders are in Ukraine. But thanks to the limited start-list, taking home a decent amount of points should be possible.

I guess we will have to call it a success if we beat someone other than Amex, and to think I sent my best TT duo thinking that we could take a top 10, I don't think even a miracle +5 day for both my riders would see us getting that now but oh well, we'll still score nicely here regardless so can't complain too much.

5th. Well, can't be too unhappy but had hoped for a little bit more. With those small differences it would've been possible.
On the other hand, we nearly beat Aegon so we couldn't have been too bad

Hoped for a bit more than second last, but not sursprised given Salas secondaries + weak partner, glad I didnt risk brajko in this though. Thanks for the report to what turned out to be another odd TT!

Awesome another top performance by the guys, Flens doing well here makes me happy with the amount I paid for him and Reus has been very solid at all races so far. |
