One strange thing happened to me was after all went well in PCM13 the third stage was crashing (while loading) in PCM14. As it is always crashing while loading "team textures" the problem might be related to my settings/DB!?
Hmmm, can't really say what's happening there. Had no problems with PCM13 either, not sure about the PCM14-compability though. If it crashes just on third stage, i can't see the DB as the reason. On the other hand, all those first three road races depend on the same ztcs-file, so i also doubt it's stage-related I may share the stage-files, if you want to try and export them with the 14-editor?

Sorry mate I got this thread into another thread. Guess I hit the wrong button,
but I got a new answer in that thread. If you care to spend some time for it.
I try to stick to this next time.. Sorry
I must however sya that the crash in New Xealand stage 3 is on my game too.
I use a FCD DB, but very edited.
Also tried with the standard FCD DB, but the crash comes in team textures.
I had this before with the WSA team, but I changed that and this team is not in the race.
I will look over the teams in the race and see, but since the other stages loaded nice I do believe it´s something else.
I will get back.

I think I solved the problem with the 3rd stage.
After some (lots) testing and missed lunch I found out that it´s the Aussie team Budget Forklifts that is the culprit.
I do hope you got the same version Margh, FCD databse. This team is not in any other DB I think.
Well then why on stage nr 3 and not before. Watch the riders mate. In the first 2 stages they have summer clothes, but even if it´s a summer day they dress up in leggings on stage 3.
Deduction and testing found that in the 2014_fcd_bfl folder under cyclist/cloth/team the TWO files
2014_fcd_bfl_corsair.png
2014_fcd_bfl_leggings.png
was rather small, just 1 kb. Removing them and, Heureka, the stage loads up just fine.
The leggings on the aussie cyclist still looks cool, yellow and bright, so nothing lost to the game in eye-candy.
Now I do hope you don´t crush my efforts and say that this team wasn´t on your startline. However this might be with several other teams.
I earlier found out the same with WSA - Greenlife.
Any one can run tests and find out nothing. It must be 100% the same environment and conditions. That´s what test is all about, isn´t it.
So lets hope this solves this problem.
YOUR STAGES tsmoha had NOTING to do with it...... |

Yep, issue solved. Good job tracking it down, clamel! Had no idea what the problem could be. And nice to know it's DB related, too.

@clamel: Yap, thanks for testing and solving the issue!
@all: Had some time to edit my previous 2013-edition of another Aussie race, this time may be not of big interest for most users, but anyway.. here we go
Tour of Tasmania - NE, real 2014
The Tour of Tasmania is one of the toughest stage races in Australia, being part of the National Road Series for a long time now.
Kicking off with a 17km mountain timetrial up the Mount Wellington, the race continues with tricky hilly stages to conclude with a flat criterium around the Devonport Oval.. as usual in the Australian domestic cycling scene, the stages come rather short, but feature some challenging climbs plus the expected crosswinds.
Mt Wellington will be the toughest challenge..
A steady up and down for the riders..
Close to the finish in Burnie.. a tricky final there!

I forgot to tell that the problem with WSA team is the shoes, so just delete them if that team get into a race.
I guess that is every race they compete in, if they don´t try to ride barefooted
Happy to help.....
So then it´s Tasmania testing time. Got no clue on the point system they use, since what I saw in the papers it looked rather different from normal UCI systems.
Have you got a thought on this tsmoha ?
If you like to try out the XML class on New Zealand (very different from cyanide) and Herald I put them up for you to DL
(and everyone else too, of course)
Herald should be in my bigger 2.1 category races package soon enough. |

Loving the amount of new Aussie races you're producing, great stuff! I haven't had a full playthrough of them yet but I'm sure they'll be great

@clamel: Any xml's from Aussie or Kiwi races are always welcome
Why not open a thread with a list of races you made those files for? Maybe single downloads for more exotic races like this Tasmania here. Speaking of Tassie: not quite sure about the points system there. You can try to recreate it from the results on the NRS website though. Dunno if it's worth the effort. Race won't appear on any DB anyway
@OZ: Thanks! Hope you will play them at one point

Why not have a look in this thread. Got the races lined up, but I am afraid it´s in 2-3 parts for the moment. I testing 2.1 races and when they are done I might put a full package. But just the same it´s not that big issue to DL whats in this thread
https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....d_id=36971
You´re correct about Tasmania, not in many DBs, so I see what I find out.
Here is the xml for Herald and New Zealand Classic, still not fully tested but close and workable.

enjoy mate

@sutty: Thanks, mate. Wellington should be a nice opener. Used to be a TTT in the past, but i prefer this ITT now.
@clamel: Oops, sorry for missing your thread then And thanks for XML's, will definitely use them from now on!

@all: Had some time to edit my previous 2013-edition of another Aussie race This won't be of even less use for you guys (I guess), but since I have to write a preview for this anyway, I will put it online here in my stages-thread.
Tour of Gippsland - NE, real 2014
The 2014 Lakes Oil Tour of Gippsland (part of the Australian National Road Series) will feature six exciting stages across the greater Gippsland region including the addition of two new stages.
Port Albert will make an appearance for the first time in 2014, with Warragul returning to the schedule for the first time since 2011. Leongatha, Yinnar, Sale, Paynesville, Metung will all test riders along the way, with Traralgon once again hosting the final stage.
All stages are rated as flat, but there could be well some splits in the bunch due to challenging profiles and the expected crosswinds.
The stage to Metung just by the sea..
Final challenging crit through Traralgon (at Osborne Park)..
The stage to Yinnar may see a small group holding off the bunch!

I really like all those small races and I definitely want to continue my NZ/OZ career at one point. So together with my NZ races, this is enough for a whole season by far for a small team. |

@roturn: Would still be cool to see you back in the story-section. And with a nice focus like that, even more
EDIT: Just noticed you weren't speaking of a story
@skip: Sure it's a 1.2-race? Can't seem to find this information on the website and never heard of this race either. Anyway, may consider doing it. No promise though!

@tsmoha: Won`t happen in near future though. There definitely is no time until April and after that too many question marks in my future at the moment.
Reporting for the Man Game at the moment is the only bit of real gaming for me.
I once started such a career with far too less teams/races though, so stopped it before it went too far.

Looking closer on your picture, of these great races (and in your fantastic story on NRS, I would like to know where you have DL (or made yourself) sprints and podium stuff. Like the adv on Subaru and so on. I think you know what I getting at....
These races are even better with stuff like that....

Thanks for the kind words, once again Made those sponsorkits by myself. They are not 100% perfect though (some minor bugs and missing adverts), but I just had to do them for a better look. My files of stuff like that are kinda messed up, but I may try to get you a working package via PM. Can't promise when I'll have time to do it though.
