Is there any way Taiwan.can make it into the B race? I would love for Hsu to be able to participate with a route like this. He podiumed two B world races before and given this is a race on the Asian continent and he is arguably (one of) the best Asian sprinter it would be a shame if he misses out completely. Maybe he can just join the Thai team, by now he's almost naturalized.
For the off chance it's possible to include him. somehow, I'll nominate him:

Haven't been a selector in a while so I have a question. Should the priority list include all the riders nominated or just our top 8/2, but ranked?

Just top 8/2. You can include more, but I'll have to ignore them generally.

I talked to Abhishek about the possibility of Taiwan to get a team in the B race. With the current way of how teams are selected Taiwan misses out because it is purely based on the nationality ranking. For me personally with an Asian team it would be a bummer to have my strongest rider for the chosen route missing out in a WC in Asia.
We discussed the following solution among others:
- Thailand drops out of the TTT (4/5 King Power riders)
- Hong Kong drops out of B race and races TTT (3/6 King Power riders)
- Taiwan races B race
I have messaged the other involved managers, so this is also pending their approval. I anyways also wanted to put this here to see if people would have an issue with it, because it does not follow the current team selection criteria. But I also hope people see where I am coming from and that we probably all would like our most suited rider to be able to compete at the WC and deviating slightly from the selection criteria is not something that has any effect on the game in the grand scheme of things.
Anyways just putting this up for discussion and if the general consensus is strongly against this, Abhishek obviously won't do this. |
