Ouch.

Phinney did well until he decided to join the breaks where he simply no longer has it.

Twice a total collapse in the end and losing all his chances of a top10.

It was a gamble anyway with him but first losing against successful breaks at least twice and now losing twice due to him changing tactics is not ideal.

While there is a a lot of strange happenings from stage to stage I find the overall result quite satisfactory. We have some surprises, we have PHL in the lead with Sivakov up there aswell (Haig dissapointing) and Padun being happy about being off Fjokies shackles  and a young gun in Skjelmose fighting to stay in top 5

To me that overall GC kinda feels a bit like what we could expect in a normal tour (if we look away from stage to stage results)

Cool to see us in some breakaways, but as expected we don't have riders that can really compete in the mountains.

Thank you for the great reports over the weekend again, Imladrik, a joy to catch up to!

Higuita now leading the polka-dots is obviously very nice, but still two very important stages if he wants to actually wear the jersey on the podium in Paris as well. Hopefully he keeps fighting for it.

Leknessund has been very solid and consistent these past few stages and he's slowly climbing the GC. Two more mountain stages to survive and then it's TT time.

Warchol and Vervaeke also starting to get into decent spots.

Exciting stages ahead, hopefully our team has enough energy left to make the most of it. Great reports Imladrik, enjoying them a lot!

A lack of GC implications on that stage is ultimately good for us. Skjelmose has been well positioned lately which is more than can be said for several other guys in his tier, so I can't complain. If we can make it through one more mountain stage, we have a really good shot at a top 10 now and maybe even a few spots higher. It's just a matter of keeping it together for one more day.

Super happy to see us continously try our luck for breakaway appearance! Romo this time, no shame in being outclassed on such a mountain by Higuita.

Impressive solo win by Simmons too. Congratulations, Bikex!

A stage without much happening for the gc. Next one needs to be better again.

Congrats Bikex even if im very tired of break victories now...
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Awesome stuff from Simmons, I thought stage 17 was a the right move for him but Evonik weren't taking any prisoners. Turns out he was just warming up. A stage win the real Quinn Simmons would have been very proud of. McNulty won a Giro stage and now Simmons in the TDF, one day maybe we will win a GT stage in our own colors.

I know Bikex viewed Simmons as a GT stage hunter with his good recovery and it can't have worked out any better than that. Pity his recovery won't really benefit him in most of the races he will do.

Fun battle for the KOM with Egger striking back a little when I thought he was done.

I know Evonik hasn't maxed their points from a mangame perspective but they have handled the race winning part very effectively so far - letting others take the pressure early, PHL turning the screws on the queen stage and then using his troops to boss things at the end.

Don't love this. Maybe showing that you need multiple high quality rouleurs on your team, because it feels like we have now lost time on as many flat stages as we haven't. Not acceptable but also thankfully not disastrous.

Haig making his way up the GC but we're running out of stages and this is probably too late a push to even get the Top 5, unless something remarkable happens on Stage 19. Leemreize also seems to have given on the KOM, which is a shame.

Congrats Bikex and thanks for the report!

The good thing is we defended the KoM-lead. The bad thing is Higuita seems to be out of gas, with a big KoM/GC stage to come Pfft

Another podium is nice for Formolo. But I really hoped he would be going for the KoM jersey. Not doing that and very low in the GC is a huge let down from him.

This is really outstanding race for my team. I'm speachles. One more mountain stage and then ITT where Padun will probably lost some time as he is not a TT.
