Loving the way we played it again by putting up Roman as a support-guy in the break, especially on a stage that was always going to be a breakaway win. Thought he'd be our "leading" attacker but he sacrifices himself very well. Great to see Inkelaar delivering once more.
I'd expect to see either favourite wins or breakaway riders too strong for our squad in the break the next days, so it's all about defending the polka dots and sending multiple riders into the break for the team classification now.

Wtf is this race 
This is the biggest dissapointment in my many mange years in the game. I really struggle to find any joy with the game at the moment. The same riders performing each day, for no apparent reason, and the GC riders doesn’t bother. 17 days in…
Sorry for being such a whiner, but it just frustrates me so much

Can feel with SotD here. Olivier in the GC bubble not getting anything here from the race which likely resumes in relegation then for me while the same riders score high for no reason really day for day.
Definitely not the best GT in MG history from a wide spread point of view as too few teams can enjoy the results. And it's not like it's the too strong top riders doing so. |

Sorry here. Tried to respond stage wise but probably missed a couple as I had a very busy last couple days without laptop access.
Indeed good when most active get some reward here even though Inkelaar is putting it into the next level. |

It looks like Rodriguez isn't really interested in the KoM. Shame. Disappointing too that we didn't go into breakaways lately.

What a race Pinot is having! A shame for him that there's no combination jersey in the race
Would have liked for instance Nesset to try more to get in the breaks, but seems like we have to settle for a quiet race with a decent GC result around 20th place. I hope I can be proven wrong over the last few days.

Three more stages for Kiritskiy to make something of this up until now historically bad race for Team Tinkoff. Luckily the reports are great to read, so I still enjoy the race when looking at it neutrally.

Would've hoped to be more involved in successful breaks but I guess with Roglic this high up in GC it makes sense. Hope he won't drop too many places in the last deciding stages |

Strange race so far for is, altough i subscribe that 5 th place for Choi anytime. That 2 nd at the white seems good, but the time difference is harsh, surely Inkelaar is free to ride, while Arluis have team duties.

Can’t exactly say that I enjoy the race, but thanks for the reports. They are well put together. I don’t get to compliment that too often, as I’m busy losing motivation, but that isn’t at all your fault. And I hope you know that.

Next passive stage by Olivier losing a spot in the GC.
Tough race for the team scoring wise as there aren't a lot of stage points here with the breaks/2nd tier GC riders winning everything.
Not many chances left but hope is there.

Bennett's race so far had been turgid to say the least, hanging in 18th with similar or worse riders currently in the podium fight, but no way I'm not absolutely over the moon about our first ever TDF stage win from our team's home hero. Absolutely love it, huge moment for us to remember - if the rest of the race is back to being crappy then I won't remember even in a year's time whether he finished 12th, 14th or 17th, but I will remember his win on La Toussuire, and that's pretty cool!!!'
Glad his time gains weren't actually very big, hopefully he can get in the break on the final mountain stage and target that top 10 or another stage win. Though in saying that there's still the ITT. To think I used to be hoping he would be comfortably inside the Top 10 by now so he could fall down on Stage 20...
So happy to finally show bloody Inkelaar the real world here, I've loved watching him and been so happy for Isostar and Philips but once he passed Bennett in the GC... something had to be done Obviously today still a very good day for our friends in lime with the KOM lead growing  |

Lovely tactics sending Pedrero to help Inkelaar defend the polka dots. One more stage to defend the mountains jersey and two for the youth classification, go Inkelaar. We will probably loose >5 minutes in the team classification on the ITT, so we'd need a frenetic ride on the next stage to stay in contact, though I'd guess Evonik will take it.
Great report once more! Very happy to see GB winning it for jandal

Amazing stuff from Kritskiy; dropping to 10th overall just before the last mountain stage is a perfect setup for a race changing victory on the Alpe d'Huez!

I'll try to put all the obvious dissapointments aside for a moment.
It looks like the Tour de France win with Lecuisinier is actually going to happen. Back when I started Festina it was my number 1 goal - To make a french rider win the Tour de France.
Christophe Moreau was out of reach, and became to old about the time when I started.
John Gadret was the best French climber in 2011-2012 with his 79-80MO, and was a reasonable climber - but he was also getting too old - and was never among the top 20 best GC riders in the Man Game.
Back in those days french climbers wasn't a thing. They were attackers, and nothing more. But then in 2013 Romain Sicard came in as a major talent. He was contracted Pearl Adidas and was still unmaxed, but then a nomade lifestyle made him unreachable. Either his team was relegated or the manager pulled the team. So in 2014 he landed a 1,5mio contract as the 15th strongest GC rider. Thibaut Pinot was another decent prospect, but was difficult to get a hold of
Instead I landed Lecuisinier (2013!) as a backup plan until I managed to get Sicard.
But in 2015 he switched to Orange - KLM for 1,4mio, another french team. He stayed in 2016 and because of the high wages and many team changes he was never invested in. So his chances of ever becoming a GT winner decreased...
In 2017 I made a final dash, but CrueTrue was hardly ever online and didn't respond. Instead I decided to train Lecuisinier so he now was almost on par with Sicard and decided to throw the Sicard plan in the bin.
Ever since 2017 I have built Lecuisinier up - First to win all possible U25 jerseys in the 3 GTs (4 in total did he land), and from then it was a build towards ultimately winning the Tour de France.
In 2020 the route wasn't ideal though, and thus I sent him to win the Vuelta a España - which he did (almost didn't though).
And now, in his 9th season at Festina it finally seems to come true. It should have been a dead given including 3-5 stagewins, a fight for green, polka dots and Team GC along the way, but for some reason the AI was dead. Still the race now seems somewhat in control and with almost 2 minutes to Sicard - and without EVER wasting energy, I can't possibly see him losing the race. Only 38km left of TT, being the best TT rider of the GC favorites, it has to be it.
On paper he is the 2nd best timetriallist (atleast shared) in the race - behind Kritskiy, but I can't even get my hopes up for a stagewin at this point. For now it's just about getting to the line in yellow, and then I'll have to take it as it is. A milestone.

Nice to see Inkelaar and Bardet have been so active for Isostar, but selfishly I wish Gregaard got a bit of that role.

Looks like I failed pretty badly. Hopefully I learned a thing or two, if I ever have to tackle the chore of making a GT route again.
