Another great stage for the team. No repeat was expected. AKA sprinted, which was good, and got 4th place, which is even better. He managed to keep yellow for another day, which is a few more points, and he's also still leading the points jersey standings. All good stuff.
Tomorrow the GC really shakes up. Our most important part of the race is already over, mission successful by AKA. We'll hope Sterobo can have a great day and place tomorrow, but that's not a huge concern. Then we'll reassess attacking plans for the hilly days. Ideally, I'd like to keep the points jersey with AKA, but I'm not sure how realistic that is i.e. Phinney, since he could easily place on the next 3 stages. We'll see what happens.
Congrats to Bikex and thanks for the report!

It would've been better if Poljanec took Gaudu's role and won the KOM. At least we kept attacking and we need to continue that on the two hilly stages to stand a chance of scoring some points.

Joined the break, couldn't really expect much more from the first two stages.

Nothing for us in the TT, predictably. Nice to see Wurtz come out on top in the first battle, though not enough time advantage for a GC win.
Phinney coming second predictably skyrockets him up the points standings. He'd need lackluster performances in both of the next two stages to not score 17 points and knock AKA out of the points jersey. But we'll see how it goes.

I'll take that, quadsas!
Great ride by Würtz. Not the worst TT to lose out on for Phinney, but always good to beat him - and even more so in our home race.
Important for us to get the jersey, as it should help on our chances to snatch a top 10. Hope Würtz is ready for the fight!

Phinney is 4th means AKA won't keep the points jersey. No way Phinney doesn't get at least 3 stage points tomorrow. That's a shame, but expected.
Nice to see Asgreen in the break, though I wish he lasted into the final 6 there. Belevics was there too wearing Grieg colors. Not much else to say for my team.

Disappointing stage, no attacks is just bizarre. Good finish for Dunbar and he’s siting much better overall than yesterday, but going to need a hard stage tomorrow to take anything from this race.
Congrats again Bikex! A great race for King Power.

Some solid performances in the TT. I didn't expect it to matter that much, but since stage 4 was surprisingly not selective, we suddenly sit in 10th and 16th in the GC with Penko and Pogacar
I would still love to see us join the breakaway on the last stage with riders like Gaudu, Zordan, Blikra or Poljanec who are not in GC contention.

Surprised to see no mention at all when the two top favourites lose 2 min in the end.
What a race for the team. The TT was good individual wise but gc wise a disaster.
Not being interested at all then on the hills makes it one of the worst De Bie traces yet. |

What was Phinney thinking? Looks like Grieg has this in the bank...

Surprisingly a very quiet GC stage. A little bit boring perhaps, but of course great for us. The last stage didn't create any big gaps last year, with Ahlstrand winning the sprint from the bunch behind the break. The GC situation is more open this time around, but I certainly hope that it's possible to keep it together. I didn't really see this a very realistic scenario, so we're quite short on good climbers, but hopefully the guys that we have will be enough.

@roturn that’s weird, especially considering sprinters like Howard finished in the peloton.

Only noticed that the big guys were in there after the fact.
Think the game just positioned them poorly for whatever reason and then they got on the wrong end of a split uphill where someone loses a wheel and all of a sudden it’s a couple minutes because time taken from stage winner to first wheel of the group they ended up in.
Unsure why the game placed them so poorly

Really happy that Chernetskiy and Trakhov joined the BotD, hopefully we can do the same tomorrow and maybe Kanerva can join the party.
