We won’t care about KOM and it apparently can’t be done to fight for a stagewin on a Stage like this. Looks like another GT where we’ll score slim to nothing.

Cool from a loan perspective to see Conci doing fairly well. He's not the top climber in his team but he's put in some respectable performances!!
Hopefully 1 more breakaway from him in the final week

Damn so close to another one ... 
Great time trial by Taaramae - barely losing anything to Tenorio while slightly gaining on Madrazo. Entirely satisfied with the result and curious what the next days will bring. Still 2min can be gone very quickly with just one bad day so we need to continue delivering on every single day.
Kudus also to Crncevic who did superb again and helps to put the team classification within reach.
Short stage tomorrow and we start immediately inside the climb so i'm quite happy about Taaramae starting at the very front of the stage. Dont think it will have an impact on the day but better safe than sorry

Shame that in the mountains we aren't joining the breaks but Carthy has been pretty good even if he only sits 8th in the GC even though it feels like he's performing well in most stages.
Have to say, I am enjoying Meintjes really having the race of his life currently sitting in 4th! as best of the rest here. Its certainly good to see considering he struggled majorly in the Giro so this season won't have been a dud for you jph

The TT was never a stage for us, so just happy we kept 12th. I would have thought Pinot came charging, but he even lost a bit. I suspect he'll pass de la Cruz soon though.
Would be interesting to see a combination of Ioannidis, Giannoutsos and Mavrikakis in the break tomorrow and then de la Cruz saving a bit of energy to keep his GC position.

Tenorio has had a bad day in the mountains twice now, but Madrazo failed to capitalize on it.

First signs of weakness by Taaramae but luckily nobody properly tested him & he could climb back towards the front of the group.
Combine that with Sequera / Madouas getting tons of KoM points as well as a finish outside the top 10 it makes for a stage that didnt work too well for us but any stage that ends without time losses in red is a good stage.
Still - two more huge opportunities to attack. It's far from over and even the very next stage is a really dangerous one and having shown weaknesses, i'm not looking forward to it.

Finally a good Stage. That was very nice to see even if a stagewin should have been possible looking at the competition. Sequera with a monster race.

Good to see a positive performance by Schlegel. That said, very surprising that he "worked against" Carboni in the break and also was the one attacking in the end.
Good stage for me though, even though I had hoped to get some more stage points with one fighting for the win.
Ciccone with a weaker performance or let`s say, a more expected performance, so still is having a good race.
Point wise the race is not giving me a lot so far but I can`t blame them as they are trying...at least the climbers. Vermeersch/Van der Hoorn/Denz really should try on the flat/mediocre stages as those were more successful for the breaks so far. |

Poor Lammertink. On flat stages he works hard for Grosu and in high mountain stages instead of taking a rest he fights to join breakaways.

Pretty perfect stage!
Was very afraid that he is losing that fight with all his attacks and solo rides. But none of the break was strong enough and luckily the peloton took a day off to relax.
I must hope that the next flat day will be enough to recover from that, so that Carboni can attack again on the 20th stage or at least keep on fighting to defend his 12th in the GC.
KoM wise being up to 2nd and kind of a gap to 1st. So will be hard anyway to do so. But I won`t complain neither way.
Apparently I found a perfectly suited KoM hunter for GTs and nice to see him doing so well here.
2 GT stage wins in his first max year is huge. |

Congrats on the perfect stage Roturn and a great stagewin.
Not great for us though. We really should have atleast one rider in a break like this. Mavrikakis, Spanopoulos, Giannoutsos or Ioannidis would all have had a good shot at a decent stage result.
De la Cruz losing a spot to Carboni isn't good - hopefully he spent so much energy that de la Cruz can fight back, but also losing significant time to Pinot makes me feel like 14th is more likely than 12th, which is really sour this late.

Well that sucks. Really a shame too that it makes it hard to enjoy a really awesome and gutsy 2nd place by Meurisse from the breakaway.
I'm pretty sure I put TDF for the top 10 goal and not this but I'm not 100% Either way 10th is a lot nicer than 11th though but it looks like it may have to be the latter unless Bennett joins a break like I told him to a week ago

A good stage by Nesset again, but just lacking a little bit and then going in the red zone a bit early, I guess. But quite good, and very much needed as the rest of my team seems to be on holiday. Okay, Sosa has been in some breaks, but after a very quiet day today, I hope he will attack the next two stages.
