Great to see you sammy And that is thirteen, the magic number for a 10:3 ratio. Will give it to the deadline still then send out the roles, and we can begin with a shortened day period as in knockout's idea (not going to give 5 days for the first one unless people think we should)
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Alright, without a detective in our town we have to get into a much more active discussion than in past editions from day one and we don't have a reason to no lynch from the start of the day.
I want to see a couple of guidelines / rules for town behaviour to raise our chances:
- Be active. The toughest players to guess are those that dont post or only post very rarely and those are the ones who help the town the least in tough endgame situations. I'd expect something like 5 posts per "game day" (1 post per RL day) should be easily doable for most. If people repeatedly fail to get there then they should be strongly questioned / considered to get lynched early. If you can post more please feel free to do so. If you get nightkilled because of being too good / too active for a townie you did a great job.
- Always state your reasons for lynching. Tell us your reasons to vote for someone. The same guy has already received three votes? Fine, you dont need to write a long analysis but please give us some short reasoning why you agree with them.
- Never "No lynch" early in the day. I strongly believe that exerting pressure will help the town as it could lead to mistakes by the mafia or at least give us interesting conversations / arguments to come back to it later. Especially now "not lynching" doesnt help us since we dont get any further information from waiting a day without the help of detectives.
- Dont fear to change your vote during the day. With that i mean: At the start of the day argue against whoever is the most likely mafia from your POV. It should never be the question between just two players like in the jseadog vs Croatia vote in one of the more recent editions. If your target hasnt received any attention yet convince us! Closer to the end of the day, if you cant get a wagon on your preferred target please decide who of the possible lynch candidates is your best choice. Reason: Nobody should be able to hide for three game days by continuing to bash sammyt and ignore the entire rest of the discussion. Although ideally you would give a slightly longer explanation for your change of mind.
Feel free to discuss these and add your own thoughts of how we should approach things.

I guess I will open up with
Lynch Kandesbunzler26
Simple reasoning of its the very start of the game and I think you are the only one I haven't played this with before. I'm just hoping to draw out some activity to get a read on how you play the game.

Interesting to see how game works without a detective, though i guess the role of Godfather is completely irrelevant. Sad not to see the Joker in action, would have been a really good addition.
About your comment knockout.
The "Be Active" should be a key one. Completely agree with you in this. About the second one, shouldn't that be always like that? I mean, voting for someone just to jump in the bandwagon is often suspicious
Lynch kandesbunzler26. Why? Obviously i don't have a "gaming" reason, just that i have never played a mafia game with him, so with the rest, more or less i can know how they are used to play, so maybe this "helps" us to get to know you better

It should but it happened often enough.
Some examples:

As well as lots of "I agree with what X said so "Lynch Y"" without any own thoughts added.

Personally, I'm not on board with lynching the new guy. Sure, he has a pretty long username that I don't recognize, but that doesn't mean he can't become an integral part of our pleasant, peaceful town, where no crime has even been committed whatsoever. Not sure how brutally lynching him on his first day is going to help us get to know him, as has been suggested.
In all seriousness, I'm against just voting no one as knockout said, but it seems silly to accuse or jump on a bandwagon when only like three people have spoken and nobody's actually been killed.

I agree with baseballlover (mostly of course because I don't want to get lynched), but on the other side the essence of the early game is to just randomly accuse someone without any actual proof (or even clue) that he's in the mafia. So well done sammy!
Tradition in any mafia games I ever took part in requires that I demand to lynch the person who accused me, but I refrain from doing so (at least until now) because I assume that sammy has no clue who to accuse apart from the stranger who just came to town which makes him look innocent to me (and maybe a bit in-game-xenophobic ).
Or maybe it's all a very clever plan of the mafia.
Who on earth knows that at the moment?

Agree with Knockout mostly, if everybody follows those guidelines, particularly in terms of staying active and giving the reasoning behind your lynches, it'll greatly improve our chances.
Though I don't agree with him on that last part, I would never kill somebody in a dream!
kandesbunzler has taken a moment to speak now and honestly I have faith that he'll be active, so while I appreciate Sammy and Aquarius making an effort to make sure he was active, I think we should recant our votes on him for now at least.
I'm at a loss of who to vote for now though, so I'm going to cast a vote on somebody who hasn't posted yet purely to ellicit a response. So given we started at the bottom, on that (rather unfounded) basis, I'll vote to Lynch Hills, but expect that to change.

First kill is basically a gamble. But no lynching the first day makes less sense from a strategical standpoint, so someone has to bite the bullet.
Since there are still a few days left to change the vote, I'll go with a provisional one. I like trekbmc's idea to go with someone who hasn't posted yet. Let's hear from them

Since trek has replied I change my vote to Lynch croatia

@Marco: i know it was a sarcastic reply but I would like to hear from you whether you think this raises or reduces the chance that both of them are together in the mafia (compared to a random pair of two other participants)

Ok, Kandesbunzler has talked, so i'll change my vote to other person who hasn't talked yet. Don't want to lynch Hillis just yet, because he already got a couple of votes on him
Will go with Lynch ryant. Because last time i played i tried to kill him twice and fuc..ng doctor saved him twice

I'll be honest, half the vote was also to make it easier if I have to type your name again in future as it saves in my phone after the first time. Now you've replied I can change to someone else who hasn't and isn't voted on yet, so following the already established logic of making sure everyone posts at least once early on...

Hello my peaceful towns folk, not really on board with the lynch first day thing but all I can say is we're not getting too much useful information from people moving from one person to another. Hence why I'm putting some pressure on Hillis and Lynch Hillis
I don't like Aquarius (for obvious reasons ) and knockout - I think haven't they played the be too helpful game as mafia once before? Or am I getting this wrong?
