Some kind of sickness for Morton it must be. Seems like I should change my sig quote to "Everything happens to Morton", even with no crashes Sad Congrats to... pretty much just Heine? Pfft Taaramae beasting this one as he should. Love the activity by Polanc in the breaks, shame he couldn't get that win. Thanks for the great reports as always Aquarius!

Well, at least a good performance from Martin to finish off the race. Finishing in 10th place, behind Berhane, is nothing short of disappointing though.

Hopefully it was only a bad day on that first mountain stage. Happy with Iturria sneaking in top 30 after a good TT. Like what he's showed so far!

Congrats to Heine, big Rein starting good this season.

SotD
Oh my freaking god. Chamorro even losing a spot here. What a horrible show! I guess this season will be all about surviving for sure. 30th in a race like this is absolutely bullshit, and even more when Vasyliv is only 40th. He atleast get a little bit of extra due to winning the U25, but oh my lord this was a bad race for us!

Now for a couple of more disasters before Coquard will hopefully start to make use of his train to win a stage for us.

Congrats on the win Heine, Taaramäe starting to cut the lead of Moser. Hirt, though fighting well enough for the fight for 1st being very much still open!

Okay, for real now:

This ain't about my tendency to dramatize regular performances as worse than expected and such, but did 80mo Nerz really just finish a mountain TT on the same time as 74mo Andriafe-yougetwhatImean, 74mo Vervaeke and 73mo Hivert?!
Are we even using the official DB in this race?? Did I miss the part where we reinstated crashes and therefore injuries after all??

I conclude this race by thanking Patrick Bevin for being the only one who tried, and Aquarius x2 for entertaining reports.

Well.. Joining this race was a mistake. We didn't even compete in a single stage. Oh well.. The XP is what counts Pfft

Grats Heine and all the bigger point scorers, and thanks for the reports Aquarius!

Heine
Thanks for all the congratulations!

A great stage to top of a great race by Rein, I feel that he both showed his individual strenght and the strenght of our climbing team. I hope that this will continue in the 2 (Sad) races he got left. Getting 3 stages and 2 jerseys, and the team classification is awesome for us

Also good to see Schleck still doing well, he need to enjoy his last days of being able to win in PT

If it wasn't for the fact that I knew I was wrong, I would say that the same code of "bad luck" is going on now, but rather than riders crashing again and again they are having a bad daily form again and again: Morton, Nerz, Chamorro, Quintana, Vosekalns, Brambilla and probably others, while riders such as Teklehaimanot, Berhane, Polanc, Kruijswijk and Bayly constantly overperformed (+4/5 days)...

Imo I miss crashes, eventhough they are sometimes a pain in the ass. No crashes at all doesn't really work for me tbh.

An astounding success for us with stage win + 1 day in yellow + 3rd and 11th overall + 2nd in the teams' classification. Our best expectations were matched in full, something which feels really awkward to say, now that I'm typing this.

Congrats Heine on the victories. Domination in all aspects of the race.

A real pity for a few teams, but especially Bennelong. Morton needs to be held accountable for these letdowns. I think we have to check these issues. We can't call it bad luck when we watch this happen so systematically.

Thanks for all the careful reports Aquarius. Top notch, as ever!

Wait, you get rid of crashes completely? Lol, that was one of the more interesting parts of the game left, with such a terrible AI ( i have read every MG report this year and cant stop smiling, but i have not realized crashes are gone, stupid me). That was like with a vote or what?

Anyway, sorry for the hijack...great race for T-Mobile this was, this Estonian wonder boy looks so scary, thanks god he was not such a best in good old Pluchkin dominance days, he would absolutely tore him apart in GTs. Grin

Congrats Heine, fantastic climbing team you have, hats off to build it like that.

And one last pun...hey Cio and SotD, you complain even more than ever. Pfft
I'll be back

Acceptable and promising result from Tenorio. Maybe we survive relegation if he does that for the rest of the season... maybe. Tekle overperforming helps as well.

Thanks for the reports. Smile

Thank god for Calmejane who saved faces after that awful Brambilla performance that doesn't look to have any reason for it.

Thanks for the reports.

At first glance this seems to have been a good race for the team, 4º in the GC, 2º in the points classification, two 2nd places of stage a 3rd place and a few more top 10.
Unfortunately this does not satisfy me, Gesink and Bartl were up to expectations but unfortunately the rest of the team was far below expectations in particular Silvestre and Chiarello.
Silvestre should not find again a competition easier than the one he found in this race and still managed to fail to deliver having only obtained a 6th and a 9th place. Chiarello was another disappointment with 78MO and 75HI was expected to do much better than a 31st place overall.
To continue in this way will be difficult to achieve more than dreaming of another year in the PT, the team can not depend only on the points won by Gesink and Cattaneo. Despite all this, about 320 points have been won, which is more than the points won in all the races we have played so far.

The victory of Taaramae does not surprise me at all, congratulations Heine and thank you very much for the excellent reports Aquarius97

Results shows I probably shouldn't have much hope for Schleck to win the TT up Vesuvio at the Giro - better off on the road stages.

Generally a good race though. No win for Schleck, even a stage, but generally maximised his race given Taaramae. And the Van der Lijke win was an obvious highlight too.

Too bad Kunshin lost a lot of time during stage 2 (flat), other than that a very good race from him. Very entertaining race the follow; thanks for the reports!

Okayish from us, Wellens would have been good to snatch a top 10 here but ended at 12th instead but Ludvigsson makes up for that and grabbing a good 20th! 2nd in U25 by FÃ¥glum Karlsson is also good news,

Congrats heine!

Vesuvio is a proper MTT unlike Eze.

A nice no-pressure outing for WCC. JAC without any support did decent in the two sprint stages, and more importantly for ToA at the end of season gave some hope he might survive some of the mountain stages as didn't struggle too much here. Puncheurs were a let down, especially the 2nd hill stage where both listed as favourites and did nothing. Breaks and hanging on in mountain stages was OK though! Top man though undoutedly Berhane, who shone on the 1st mountain stage and maintained a good work rate thereafter to secure 9th - sort of what I had hoped for, but wouldn't have bet money on it!

Rein was dominant, to put his defeat at Apex behind him. A few break riders in 15-25th places, but surprised so much moans from folks with like 78 mnt stat complaining at 30th-40th in GC. Other than a few break guys, no-one looks out of place to me.

Thanks for the detailed reports, and congrats to the guys who leave here happy!
