That's what I mean when I talk about Generalli's depth. I love seeing Hermans win. he's the best rider. (though Generalli totally got it in the wrong order for the GC ).
Dyrnes was worryingly far back, but didn't lose any time at least, Bernas the only other guy in the front group for us (though he's a carbon copy of Hermans, so not sure how to feel ), I have a feeling we're going to have a very weak race.
Thanks for the great read Roturn and congrats Matt!

Nice, easy first stage. Ulissi probably a little unhappy he couldn’t pass his teammate for the win, but 1-3 for Generali is terrific
Khalil somehow finding himself in 7th is a pleasant surprise, with AA and Grippo also in the top-20. Solid first stage, looking forward to the next.
Thanks for the report!

A nothing stage for us really! Costa can't be expected to do much in the sprint but Navardauskas should be up there.
Congrats on the win Matt . And thanks for the report roturn!
EDIT: Perhaps I was a bit harsh on Hofstede earlier. 3rd in the KOM on the stage is a good effort from him.

Very quite stage from the team, except at the team, when again i find out that every rider that is not Bystrom has lost almost 45 minutes again. Aggggh, i hope this means that these riders go into the attack in latter stages now they have lost some time

All that matters is that Caruso & Zingle squeezed into the first group. Bit disappointing that Le Gac missed out but it's acceptable.

A missed opportunity for Cerny here, he should've been in the main group and sprinted. But I guess I should consider myself lucky Waeytens didn't get dropped.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

The hell is the point in building a Hilly Sprinter if he won't sprint! Such a perfect opportunity for Simon there utterly wasted... I have a sinking feeling about this race

Hmm, think Lutsenko could've done a bit better if he didn't get blocked. No time losses at least, so I couldn't care less.
Grats Matt! |

Well, no time loss for Juul-Jensen, but given the competition I'd kind of rather he attack for stage wins. Happy to see Schoffmann in the break though. First guy of the year in the break for us. I wanna see some more aggression.

What is it with shitty riders leaving my team, and then suddenly winning good races? Vanoverschelde, Krasnoperov and now this French cunt...

Wow! A very fast sprint there and it looks like AKA was coming hard but was just a bit too boxed in to make his move in time. Still, 2nd place in that sprint is absolutely phenomenal. Very happy with that progress. His first podium as my lead sprinter!

Come on Pelucchi, you can do better. I don't want this to be another Van Asbroeck/Vanbilssen season.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Nice to see Boonratanathanakorn joining breaks already. Bilbao and Moazemi doing nothing special so far but finishing with the favourites in the hilly stage, which is okay for now. |

Happy that we have taken the early lead in the KOM standings... nothing much else to report though, hope stage results pick up soon

Great 3 in the top 10 on stage 1 but Haller nowhere on stage 2.

Finally an organised Sprint. Nice to see us forming a train now that we had a favourite. A bit disappointing that Bouhanni only managed 4th after a very good looking lead out but it's a promising sign.

Good to see Lavoine mixing it up with the big guns, and to also see Kaczmarek in the break!
Good couple of inauspicious stages for us, leading the team standings as well. We’ve clearly not got the top end power to stick with the big guns, or the depth of Generali and co. Nevertheless, I’m optimistic we can secure some depth points here to make this a worthwhile race in our home.
@roturn - thanks for the great reports so far! One minor addition, it is a home race for us too!

I know. Missed you there as promoted team.
Realized myself while playing but after writing that stage 2 report.
Quite a Polish base there in the PCT division. |
