Ah too bad Landani, but last 200m way too tough. Froome BFF Ulissi winning. What has happened with UAE since the Giro? Hmmm….

Of course, as I said earlier, its 2009 all over again, but this time with a freaking TTT to make things even more uninteresting. Everybody knew even before the race that Porte basically needed to crash, get sick or bonk not to win this joke of a race.

Imagine doing your job so poorly like the organizers, you'd get fired instantly. There's basically 3 km of mountain to do anything in this entire race  in fucking SWITZERLAND

Fully agreed. Our only hope is Landani or Mas going full on Klausenpass.

Agreed with all you guys laughable courses. If you're gonna throw a freaking TTT into a week long stage race, maybe you could at least give a place from someone to make back time? This race is a joke.

A TTT's only place in the sport should be as a short time seperater in a GT. Have it be a place where a strong team can gain a handful fo seconds on their rivals. It should not be deciding a race, elt alone a week long one. I get that it's a long tradition in cycling and that it's cool to see, but this is just pathetic racing.

Victory for Kragh Andersen who was on the day’s break. Assuming it was another snore fest today with Porte gaining ten extra seconds as the only change in the GC.

The more boring the prep races, the better the tour. thats the deal right?

I mean if you saw what Porte did today it wouldn't have much difference anyways, but you're point is taken and vallid for most circumstances.

Kinda ironic that no one has made a comment about Nairo's epic ride today

World Cup fever really overlapping this race. Pfft Main question now is if Quintana can keep his podium spot or second place at least. Porte has won, bar any crash or mechanical.

I couldn't even get a glimpse, wasn't even broadcasted cause of football scandals in portugal Angry it was too soon for tiz cycling to have the replay so I lost what could be a preety good afternoon of cycling

Gotta step up in defense of lovely Switzerland!

While I agree (not totally) with the course being kinda boring,
I also understand the reasons the organizers planned it like it is.

This year they have got 2 high profilic riders starting in the race with Kwintana, as swiss legend Beat Breu called him in the post race tv show of swiss SRF2 channel, and Porte. The organizers gotta carter to the wishes of their sponsors and they want big names. Big names for the broad public, not for cycling insiders. Wink
That close to the Tour an ultra brutal course doesn't draw the big names preparing for the tour. After the Dauphiné for example there is more time to recover.

And there are less spectacular climbs than that to Arosa.
Take stage 6 of the Tour of California up to Lake Tahoe.
4800 vertical meters on those super broad US roads.
Now that was even more boring to look at.

Besides Kwintana really attacked, like really.
Not accelerating and sitting back up a few seconds later.
