Great win for Minions, who look set to score big from this race!

My guys set up a sprint train! While it's cute, it wasn't very effectieve, so can we go back to wheelsucking next stage?
Nice win for Minions, but we're rapidly dropping in the GC now. We should overtake De Haes again and not lose to much on Lo Cicero to stay safe.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Third breakaway win of the season for Kenny De Haes, the breakaway god

De Haes winning could prove to be move deciding the relegation battle to the advantage of Minions seeing their recent success and our increasing collapse.
At this point you even have to worry about MOL overtaking you in the rankings. Things haven't been going your way lately, but for your sake I hope Lo Cicero will do well in the final stages.

This race is just terrible for us so far. Daniel now crashing as well and Guerao not there in the sprint again. Only a stage win can save this now for me, but looking at Guerao's form that is just not going to happen.
The minions are having an excellent month. |

Well, the bad crash luck was bound to catch up to us at some point I guess. Appo only has a few race days left, so this was pretty tough to see, but I can't really complain when it's happened to so many others over the course of the year.
Lost race for us now. On to the next one I guess.

Not a fan of crashes, sorry to see another retirement.
Hope the weather cheers up a bit, its like an ice rink out there!
Well done Marco, perfectly timed stage win.
I was willing the sprinters on and they just managed to close the gap so Cav did not lose any more time than the bonifications. Possibly the ideal scenario for Kraftwerk as the bonus seconds were all taken by the break. Also relieved Irvine survived his crash and appears healthy to help with chasing duties in the next stages.
Thanks for another great report tsmoha.

Holy crap, we got a second! GC looks awesome now, I can't remember another race where it was so close before the last stage.

Now that's a new situation! Super strong from Nelson and suddenly in the race lead. Looks like it will be a really exciting finish to the race...
Poor from Rowe again. Third sprint in a row where Rowe and Wisniowski finish almost side by side, certainly should be possible to get one of them closer to the top 10.

It's been faaaar too long since we last won a stage! Ricki has been consistent here and that was a great finish for him. His first win of the season, getting to show off the NC in style at long last!
Holding onto the GC i think will be a step too far for the Aussie, but he shouldn't drop that far back and will deliver some nice points to us for that, and from jumping up the Points standings as well.

De Haes still at the top of the GC unlike his companions from yesterday, what an engine this man has. Funny to see Manarelli has never sprinted for us despite being our de facto leader, first Marcos now De Haes who think they can get boni seconds but then get blasted away by the competition

Atrocious stage. What are Guerao and Lo Cicero waiting for?

I have no idea.
Great sprint by Manninen and wonderful to get him in the youth jersey. Really looking forward to seeing him maxed next season. CT 2018 watch out!
If only Lo Cicero had trusted his train. Isn't the first time this season either that he decides to abandon a near perfect train...
Return of IL Toro and we could still be in with a shot.

That was an important 4th place for us, it means Vantomme actually finishes were he can score a couple GC points. Similar next stage would be good to get us maybe 6th in the GC and given we are making a train it shouldn't be impossible, though it keeps falling apart.

Well this C1 trip has been quite a roller-coaster ride to date. Prologue was solid without any stand-outs, but 3 riders slipping into the top 20 meant a decent start in the team standings. Stage 2 though was a return to the crash-fest WCC've been experiencing throughout August, with both Bush and Venturini ending up in the sag-wagon . Cheering things up, Vandousselaere infiltrated the successful BotD on stage 3, ending up 2nd and jumping up the GC. Sven has been having a pretty decent season to date, and his chances of signing a contract extension look good! He paid for his efforts on day 4 though to slip back down the order. This was balanced by JAC doing an excellent job in the s4 sprint finale, surfing the wheels well to grasp a podium place and very handy bonus seconds. One stage to go, and I'm sure more ups and downs to come before this ride is over.

Ugh Guerao
Thanks tsmoha for the reports already, won't be bothering to look at the last stage to save me from further disappointment.. |

You crazy big man! Couldn't believe what I was reading when he started to come back again in the sprint. We came here for a stage win and with a hope of getting two riders in the top 10, but not this way. Turned out way better than we could have hoped for.
Buzzing. Congrats to Olfardh on a great victory for you!

2016 Lo Cicero would have won that by a mile
At least he have been extremely consistent finishing 4th in the GC without delivering a single good stage result.
Manninens youth jersey is a nice consolation price. He should come back once maxed to ride his own chance.

Wow...flat stage, big peloton finishing together even though it was a fast ridden stage...and the GC leader (a perfect rider for such stage) is dropped and losing it.
Can`t remember such scenario in the MG in the last couple years.
Sucks for TMM obviously. If it was a real echelons stage with small groups, it would have been less stupid. But seeing all those riders finishing together is just awful when you lose it.
Guess Nelson was too much in the wind for too long by riding in the first rows? |
