In this update we have:
1. Costa Rica Mountain Classic
2. Lincoln GP
3. Lac Megantic Classic
4. Post Danmark Rundt
5. Tour de Slovenie
6. Nelspruit Classic
Monterrey TTT has become a July race, and will be contained within Update #7.
1. Berg Cycles were the story, sweeping to 126 points with 1st and 3rd place. Indosat scoring 56 for 2nd.
2. Polanc continued the momentum for Isostar as they scored 160 points. Grieg and Podium also combining the podium with other scorers, for 120 and 105 each. 91 for Newton, but not enough to keep the standings lead.
3. Some good PTHC scores here with Goss and Cavendish on the podium. 136 for Indosat, 109 for Kraftwerk. 80 pointers too for Berg, Fablok and Valio.
4. Team depth kept the Isostar train rolling with 247 here, only 1 less than Ignatiev's victorious team Ferrero. The top scorers though were Orange, with 286. A strong race too for Euskaltel with 198, with local team Carlsberg picking up 151.
5. Double header not a problem for this race's local team Isostar, with 2nd overall for Brandle and 213 points as the top scoring PCT team. 166 for Fablok and 159 for Berg as CT teams stole much of the points here - leaving only scraps for the rest.
6. The Grieg-Newton head to head went the way of Grieg. Orange, Kraftwerk and MOL also scoring well.
So for a second month running, Isostar - Adriatic are the top PCT team! An impressive 638 points for them, well clear of 2nd placed Orange - whose season is starting to recover, 423 points for them - and they even had time to take 2nd in a PT stage race. Berg, Fablok and Ferrero complete the Top 10.

Isostar not only move into the lead, but now hold a very good advantage. 344 points back to 2nd placed Newton Foundation, and in the promotion positions by over 700 points. They are also now the team with the best PpRD rating, ahead of Grieg who have slipped behind Berg in the current standings.
The last promotion spot is now held by Fablok, overtaking UBS. Indosat remain 7th, but Orange are closing in. Up 2 places to 8th, and only 2 points behind them. Lierse remain in the Top 10, in 9th, but have the joint highest RD total: on 99 with Indosat.
Ferrero's Danish triumph lifts them 5 positions to 10th, but it's looking close from here on down to 21st, with an average of 27 points separating each position. Eritel, Generali, Spar and Meiji all losing 2 positions, amidst climbs for Podium Ambition and Carlsberg - the Danes remaining the team with the fewest race days to date.
Euskaltel and Kraftwerk also climb up, with Novatek and Netia falling back. Valio escape the relegation zone and have also create a gap, 136 points back to Minions who take their place. The projections still have MOL to get back ahead of Valio in the long run, but points in the bank count for a lot, and the Tour of America will always skew those projections.
It's looking increasingly tough for the bottom 3 though, but in their internal battle Haute Route do overtake Ticos this month. Compal remain last.

Still no change in the Top 2 positions, with Van Garderen extending his lead over Kump. Grieg are on the up though, with Boasson Hagen up to 3rd and Wisniowski 4th. Incidentally, 3rd was Boasson Hagen's position back in 2009 - the last time he raced in this division.
Guerao, Goss and Mohs all moved up, with fellow sprinter Kennaugh entering the Top 20 into 12th. Vanbilsen and Ignatiev also moving into the Top 20. The Russian has finished as high as 5th in these standings in the past - twice.

Isostar is going up, yep, no doubt about that. Can't see them ending up outside the top 5 now.
Good races in Lincoln, Nelspruit and Denmark for us. Slovenia absolutely shit tho, but a decent month. Happy to still be in the top five. EBH still with 17 of his 29 race days left, so hopefully he can carry us for the reminder of the season. We have some truly awful races coming up, so probably need the gap we have at the moment.
Thanks for the update, SN!

Let's enjoy the moment as long as it lasts
A difficult month awaiting now though, with only 3 1-day races to ride (and one of them is the forced Kenyan Mountain Classic). Hopefully we can keep us in the promotion ranks for as long as possible. But I already fear the late hilly classics and the big HC/PTHC tours coming up.
New goal: 3000 points at the end of the season!

Yeah, i think we lost the bet about Isostar relegating...
Wow, Valls has more points than a whole PCT team at this point of the season

Isostar is unstoppable. Pretty terrible month for us though, just happy we got something out of Denmark at least.

We suck. We are just so mediocre. None of our leaders score any points. Kuboki should be like our 4th highest scorer, not our highest.

An average month for us, but even that's pretty good compared to the rest of the field. I like our chances for promotion, but things get a lot harder down the stretch run to the finish.
TVG and Altur only have three one-day races left. So, Fraile and Warbasse have to carry us through with decent results at Kenya Mountain Classic, Int. Osterreich Rundfahrt and Tour of America. Not ideal.
But, should make for a thrilling finish to the season.
Thanks for the update!

Lincoln was a bust, but Steensen's performance in Denmark made it a decent showing for us considering the utter lack of race days.
I wouldn't say we're comfortably out of the relegation fight yet - Tour of America will decide our fate unfortunately - but I'm definitely happy we've made it this far. We have the lowest race day total so far, which means we're gearing up for an intense few months of racing here to see where we end up. I'm excited for it!

I'm not going to Tour of America, if I did I would say may fate is sealed. It will be difficult to get out of the relegation zone, it all depends on Úran in Deutschland/Colombia. August is the month where everything has to fall into place.
Thanks for the update SN!

Grande Isostar, scoring all over the place. With so mich thought going into planning I am not surprised that they rock the PCT in such a great way. Definitely going to promote.

Happy to be in the running for promotion, however Froome and Mohs don't have that many RD's left and if we compare to our competitors, I juat don't see us promoting. Mohs got a chance to win Barbados and Froome has a chance in Beijing to win, however that might not be enough.
Overall happy with our progress and we should look to be 4/5 in goals by the end, as I doubt Froome will be able to win Milano Torino again. If I were to.predict, then I would expect us to finish 7th or 8th

Nice to get across the relegation line but there's still a long way to go with 3 climber-friendly stage races and 2 stage races for Lo Cicero left.
If Ivano starts sprinting we should be home safe. If not I still see a major relegation risk on the horizon.
Strong rides in Isle of Man and Monterrey would be valuable as well.

Pretty decent lower to mid table at the moment but we're projected to barely survive above the relegation spots. Need some more good results from my riders!

A bad May lead into a solid June. Stabilised our results a bit with a decent Lincoln and getting decent results out of Denmark and Slovenie. The season hasn't quite gone as intended with Burghardt not being that good on the cobbles and our sprints being below par, but we are gathering steady points in most races and the couple of good cobbles rides and one or two surprise results mostly from Talansky is looking to get us solidly in the mid-field. Getting to 1700 will be the first objective as that should be safety achieved, and passing 2000 will just be nice. With 4 months of racing left and our ability to keep getting a few points in most races i feel confident we'll manage that.
Can start planning for PCT next season and how we deal with a declining Burghardt and an aging Thomas. (We get a max'd Ewan + Yates for starters )

Not sure how to feel about these rankings so far. On one hand it’s great to see Guerao as the best scoring (pure) sprinter so far, but my other leaders Denifl and especially Daniel were a little underwhelming. Denifl still has some race days left but Daniel has only little races left to prove himself.
Looking at our pprd a top 10 is still in reach and our gap to the red zone is decent.
Thanks for the update SN! |

A good month for the team, where only Nelspruit spoiled our points average.
We continue in the front seats and with a comfortable margin of safety, the next month should also be positive for us.
The depth of the team is well demonstrated when our best ranked is only 16th among all teams.
Thanks for the update SN!

Only Beijing next month, but top 10 was fun while it lasted
Zico Waeytens up to 28 points. If he can finaly get some results, we should be ok.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Just let us relagate and stop tormenting us
Should probably already now think about who's not getting their contract renewed.
Thank you for the update SN and I liked the top performer pr. team table |
