Time to get your nominations in for the annual site awards. It would be very appreciated if you bumped the thread once you send in votes.
Rules and deadlines
1. You're allowed to nominate up to three members per award.
2. You do not have to nominate members for every award.
3. Voting will start by the first week of January, so nominations must be in by January 1st. The sooner the better though, as we will need time to set up the voting threads.
4. Banned members are not eligible for any award.
5. Members with more than 20 posts are allowed to vote.
6. Nominations have to be PM'ed to matt17br.
7. There is no minimum or maximum limit on how many can be included in a poll, it will depend on the amount and spread of nominations for that category.
8. When the voting takes place, you are allowed to vote once in every category.

Management Game Awards
The awards below do not follow the Management Game season. It's simply all management game actions that took place from January 1st 2017 until the current date.
You might have noticed that we've gotten rid of some Management Game awards, but fear not, it's because of a simple reason: this year the MG has started quite a few months later compared to the current calendar year, and we therefore decided that it would make sense to move five of the old awards to a new event that will take place after the 2017 MG season is done and dusted - and will also include quite a few more awards to make stuff more exciting!

Feedback
If you have any questions about the technicalities of a particular category, please ask below. We'd appreciate any feedback on the new cycling awards categories in the first few days the awards go on, since they would still be able to be changed then.
Note 1: Site Initative is for an admin-led activity. The idea of User Project is to reward a member for the work they do on a particular activity, not to vote for the activity itself, which may be eligibile for the Forum Thread or Forum Game awards. So when nominating for a user project please include the member's name, and the activity you are nominating them for.
Note 2: The Graphical Artist award is for non-Jersey related graphics.
Note 3: MG Manager of the Year is not meant to reward the team's performances - we have planned a new event involving Man-Game Awards for that, but the intention is to repay the manager's commitment to the game when it comes to helping out, reporting, staying active etc.
Note 4: New MG Manager of the Year is only for the additions of the 2017 season.
Note 5: WT Stage Race of the Year doesn't include Grand Tours.

I know last year we had a list of the most active new members. Is that available again this year?

I still would like HQ of the year, thinking of the effort some members like knockout, sotd or atlantius put into that outside the main season - so that this work does not fall under the table

Well it's still going to be there in the end-of-the-MG-season awards, so unless a good amount of people wants that sooner rather than later I don't see why we shouldn't wait for that event instead

Well it's still going to be there in the end-of-the-MG-season awards, so unless a good amount of people wants that sooner rather than later I don't see why we shouldn't wait for that event instead
HQ of the Year doesn't really work, because we have two MG calendar years in 2017 which means double the amount of HQ's potentially. Much clearer to move it in line with the MG season

PSA: The rule that kept super admins from being nominated for the awards has now been removed.
Given that it's a rule that mostly came from the time when CrueTrue was the sole super admin, and that we now have two super admins, this means that both roturn and SportingNonsense wouldn't be able to be nominated for some awards they certainly deserve to be at least in the running for.
If you were basing yourself on this rule when sending in your nominations, you're obviously free to send in an updated list. Thank you.
Also, if you think your nominations won't matter you are very wrong: I haven't received too many lists so far. So do get your vote in if you want - with no rush, that is, there's still almost two weeks of time to do so.
