There must be some Italian blood in Ian's SanCor squad, putting it together in the motherland!
Dabkowski with a welcome surprise, coming in 5th. Looking forward to the final two stages; hopefully Penasa comes in great form.

damn, every stage getting worse and worse.
Wasn't expecting much from this race regardless but man that stage one time trial seemingly has sucked the wind out of our whole team. |

Congrats to Sancor on doubling up, Awang had a good sprint for us to just miss the stage podium.
Real question from this stage for me is why did Ahmad Zamri lose 4 minutes dropping him out of the top 20GC and out of second in the youth standings.
Did he crash and is injured or did something else happen to him as he shouldn't lose time on a flat stage where the Peloton hasn't fragmented due to wind.

George Bennett! What a hero he is
Great attacking ride. And some real surprise to see Suaza struggling that hard. To finish in the same group with Timmy Roe must hurt (I love Roe, don't get me wrong). A big shake up in the GC, things will be interesting now. Great to see Penasa that strong. He surely learned a lot from Morton last year (and in fact, he stays on his bike)
Great read as well.

Farrar really should have gotten more than a top 10 on S3 but what can you do. Connor has been active during the breaks, and while it doesnt give us points for the rankings at least we're out there trying.

Wow, really amazing stage, this has been a great race!
Awesome as well to see Xero do the one two, finally that mountain strength pays off! Bennet attacking well and Salinas racing strongly (if not smartly ) 3rd and 6th in the GC is good after stage 2's disaster and they still have a stage to improve on that.
Cool to see Penasa in the lead, Polish cycling might get it's third tour win in Febuary? Would be great for Kulczyk!
Fantastic report Roturn, kept the tension really well and covered the changes in groups really clearly!

Wow! That was a proper mountain stage! Awesome report to cover one of the best mountain stages i've seen in MG
The only good thing from this stage is that Valls somehow has improved his GC place Also i believe that if Cunego didn't have to work for Valls, he would have been fighting for the stage win. A shame to lost another 20 seconds by so little margin
Big congrats to jandal! A 1-2 in a mountain stage is not easy at all, and with all the bad luck in Tachira and their bad start here, they deserved it
Valls, please bring that second place home! I don't ask you for anything else in the race

Well, from a promising start Tvetcov is in no man's land
Shame to say it but the 2 people who predicted this was Tvetcov's race really jinxed him on that one

Yes!
Consistency has been the key for Penasa. One more stage at the front of the race and he's got his first Tour victory in his homeland! Would be great to pick up the slack in the Polish peloton. @tsmoha, Penasa's got that young aggressiveness that Morton has in spades, he just needs to ride smart and upright in stage 5.
Congrats to jandal, the mountain depth is finally paying off, and with his riders at 3rd and 6th, Xero would get first place points, essentially. Not too shabby for a race that appeared a write-off after day 1.
Amazing reports roturn, love the detail and the format with time gaps constantly. Very clear and tells the whole story, you have a talent for this!

Don't hope I jinx anything, but I sure hope Penasa will be on the top of the podium next stage, too. Great to start off this early with a GC win in your MG career, when some waited for years to have their first GC win.
Crazy month for Polish cycling and its far from over. Also...

Big one from jandal's Xero Racing, congratulations.
Not bad for Campari-Super Dry either, looking bright with Cataldo having some needed consistancy.
Thanks for the report roturn

Damn, another bad stage without attacks from my riders. Unless Anacona redeems himself, this will be a disappointing race for us. |

Touch wood, fast!
The first sentence is a nice sentiment. The second is just asking for Penasa to puncture at the start of the final climb
...but I agree, it would be great, I'd love 3P to hold out in the final stage!

I agree absolutely amazing for Poland!
Also, The Kenyan, Italian and Pole won in Eritrea (near Kenya), Italy and Poland, it was made to happen.

My computer isn't working so I haven't been active at all, it's a shame that stage 2 was an absolute disaster, today we were aggressive but very very far from results.
It's a shame also cause this is being one hell of a race, with another high mountain day I don't know what to expect. I'll put my money on Penasa cause he's been flawless. Anyway wish for no crashes and mishaps for everybody.

What a day Bennett attacking early and finally with the killer move late on to surge up the standings and take the stage, and Salinas behind decreasing Bennett's gap but clawing back time and moving into third on GC. Hope for them both to be in the top 6 this time tomorrow, preferably one on the podium.
Antón not doing GC but I assume he's helping Salinas and Bennett which is good enoguh for me. Inside top 30 still holding up our Teams lead which really we should be taking most mountain races Also never nice to see on of our own abandon, hope Schleck is feeling alright
