GORC sees Manan, Chavanne and Wyss forming our train as we look to try and get something out of a race we have historically struggled in, hence the weaker lineup, but also one exploring different options to what we have tried unsuccessfully in the past.
Then onto starting our Feb lineup with the full 5 man sprint train of Salleh, Awang, Manan, Chavanne and Wyss heading to Barcelona. Hopefully we get a strong result out of this one, and seeing as it's the first time the full train is present this season I hope we actually get a chance to use it as the startlist does look packed.

Awesome to see Meersman and Smukulis with some great racing. Both showing how strong they are this early into the year. Especially Smukulis could convert it into a great result.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Haller really dominated that, congrats to him and his manager.
We managed to get a top 25, which I think is still 1 point out of this despite our leader crashing so I can take that as a success, seeing our youngster in the break aswell was really nice, hopefully he will take this enthusiasm into all his races.

As so often before, Great Ocean etc etc with a thrilling final. Very deserved to see the best sprinter also taking the win, after being active himself. Congrats to maxime!

As usual, the Great Ocean Road Classic ended with echelons which as predicted, didn't favour Rowe. However, we did bring other options with Tennant, who really surprised me in getting a podium for the team.
Ford also did well in collecting a top 10 placement and this overall represents our best result at this race and I hope that this is a good boden for the season ahead.
Congrats to In and Out and Haller for the win, the strongest sprinter won and he is already repaying his million dollar status
Good luck ppl in Barcelona! and thanks for the report jph!

Well for WCC, this was, what's the word I'm looking for, ...mmm .., yes a DISASTER. A minimum goal of 30 ranking points given this is a C2HC 1-dayer suitably missed by a country mile with a big fat zero. Not going to call the conversion and commitment to a sprint focussed team a complete write-off on just one showing, especially with the wind playing such a big part as often the case in the Australian flat classic CT opener, but Barcelona now has even more significance attached to it from our perspective.
Congrats to maxime on the victory (at least means I will have won a bet!), and thanks to jph for the reporting.

Funny to see five former Oz/Jayco riders finishing from 8 zu to 12. Good old William Ford used to be one of my favorite riders when we rode in PCT and I'm glad he still is capable of getting notable results in tough conditions like here on home soil. Same goes for Delgerbayar.
Good win for Haller and surely some great results for Tennant and a gutsy Gilbert. And while it luckely doesn't matter, it's still weird to have no gaps rewarded there.
Thanks for the report and congrats to all successful managers!

Major Bummer! Two riders in the points but 18th place is way lower than the expectations. Kind of was expecting it after the high of Tachira
Congrats Maxime and thanks for the report jph!

Congrats to Haller on the victory, one of many this season I'm sure. Pretty happy with the results for our team as well, we at least had someone in the breakaway, and all 6 riders finished the race! Nothing more or less was expected here.

Can't believe that - Clarke manages to make every split then completely shank the sprint. Really disappointing especially given the circumstances of the finale.
Spoiler At least it was better than Tachira
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

So close for Gilbert to steal that win... Anyway, we'll take those points for 5th before someone can steal them for us

The rest of the team are basically fillers, although Philippe Gilbert should be also in the right side of splits in the final part, with his good flat stat.
Realistic outcome for our team (in terms of places):
1 Top 25
Realistic outcome for our team (in terms of points): 1
Optimistic outcome for our team (in terms of places):
Top5 + Top15
Optimistic outcome for our team (in terms of points): 40
It's obvious that i couldn't have predicted this race for me better Top5 with Gilbert and top15 (13th) with Kneisky, even exceding our "Optimistic" outcome by 2 points.
Congrats to maxime for the win!
This might be a little spoilery, but with this result, i'm the confirmed CT leader when the January update is up

Congratulations to maxime86/In-n-out nice perfect strategy.
Thumps up also to Philippe Gilbert – nice try !
At Campari - Super Dry, coming here without much hope more than happy that our veteran cobbler Evert Verbist shows his power on the flat to claim some unexpected points.
Thanks to jph27 holding the camera for us great report.

I think that the presence of your low flat sprinters lost you a lot of points here, as for me it seems as if your flat riders waited for them. Looking at the Top10 the profile of riders would suggest that several of yours could've been up to similar positions.
In other terms: Tennant could've done that more often last season for me

Gratz In-n-Out, Haller was clearly the strongest man (followed by Gilbert)
Really happy with Rinner in 15th, especially as he is not even a sprinter. We were right an aggressive and windy race ended up playing in our favor.

A terrible result for Meyer and Reddit. Sadly it's hard to analyse what went wrong in such a hectic race. Therefore I'm still hopeful for future sprint classics.
Grats to maxime and Haller and I'm glad my rivals didn't do well either |

Not really sure why we spent energy of chasing but I guess two top 20 finishes is decent considering no Farrar here.
