Best of luck but this isn't going to happen. If none of the other tragedies could spark that rational debate this one won't either.
Even less so in the current political climate in the US. And it's such a shame.
This is 100 true. Nothing in America is going to change regarding gun control for a long time. If a massive shooting at an elementary school a few years back (sandy hook) can't do anything, then neither will this.
Also, there's been 1,518 mass shootings (in the study cited, mass shooting = 4 people shot, not necessarily killed) in the united states since sandy hook and for every week since then, there has been a shooting on a school campus.
it's never going to change, which is really unfortunate because it can be prevented by the shooter not having a gun (wow what a wild thing to say). I'm not saying fully outlaw guns bc i know thats never gonna happen, but if a 13 year old can walk into a gun show and buy a gun on the spot in 15 minutes (I've seen this), then literally anyone can, and that's a really scary idea.
How many of thoose are from Chicago aka. Chiraq?
not too many actually, take a look at this https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/

Yeah they said:
"NRA is deeply saddened by what happened. It’s not a reflection of the majority of gun owners in Nevada. NRA gun owners are dedicated to responsible and safe use of firearms. This is a tragedy."
You guys are right, its impossible to monitor anything like that, similar to artists trying to monitor illegally downloading MP3's online. It can never be stopped at this point. It's a matter of people being responsible.
That's actually a really good analogy with music. Once the floodgates were opened, it's impossible to reign it back in.
I get what you guys mean, but to use another analogy with drugs, yes they are all out there and in circulation and once illegal they just had roots that were illegal too, but should the US just let drugs run free and ruin and end people's lives, or should they make all the effort possible to help those in danger and get back the weapons which are killing people? Personally, when I read of Orlando, or Vegas, or Sandy Hook, or even any small attack in the US, I don't think "yeah it's sad, but look they killed the shooter!", I think "why do they let this keep happening?".
Just because they can't stop 100% of shootings (no country ever will) doesn't mean that they shouldn't stop as many as they can. That's being lazy and saying "these people's lives aren't worth my effort to save them" or if you don't believe that "I can't save them", which is bs. You are the fricken government of the "greatest country on Earth", not Chief Wiggums
As TMM said above:
Start making it less culturally acceptable. Start making it harder to get guns. Start taking them off suspect individuals.
It is hard, but in no way too hard.
bbl - There are more guns that people here by about 25 to 1, but we don't let fricking nutjobs buy them!
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Every weekend it's like 30 people shot and injured. I've watched countless hours of interviews and videos about Chiraq. And ofc, all the music about it.
What a sh** show that is

Also funny how every-time this happens ISIS is quick to take credit for it. They had absolutely nothing to do with this shooting but still want to take credit for it anyway...

5 years now (and yes, I had to check). Maybe I've just never found the right one?

My avatar changes with the times. The basis for it has been the same for like 4-5 years now, but other aspects have had to be adjusted to keep up with things.
Nobody needs to remind me about my first avatars.

My avatar kinda changes at random, this Laporte one will probably stick for a while though and eventually I want to change back to my Basso DB one.
My favourite ever one though was when Ian won the award.

Everytime there is a new WWE Universal Champion my avatar changes, but Lesnar has had the title since April .
If Roman Reigns grabs the belt, I will NOT change to him though. I will just go to the WWE champion, or back to classic Lance Armstrong

I change my Minion avatar whenever I think it's time for a new one. I remember I used to have a Pizza avatar before I started my Minion-addicted persona around here
