Wow, D2B let go off Dumoulin. Necessity or strategy? Who knows.
Mainly incompetence
I was on holiday during last year's race planning and rushed it when I got back, the result was I missed all my goals and ended up with a very low budget for this year so something had to give.
Dumoulin disappointed last season so I decided to let him go, probably another mistake
Hope he performs better for OZ

Very happy with steal results. Van Poppel would've been an excellent addition but Barry Markus is exactly the kind of rider we needed. Now we have a proper sprint leader who might be able to score those points we've been conceding to a lot of other top teams.
Dumoulin was a more speculative pick, but he's a talented rider and still fairly young. Based off what Van Baarle and a stronger TT core riders did for me last year I'm thinking he could be a good investment.

Thanks for being so gracious about it. I admit I did feel bad about taking him off you since we've had some really good trade talks before, so if you're interested in any of my riders as compensation, feel free to drop me a PM.
Also...

Nail on the head. Steals are a cheap way of simply annoying people that might be able to help you in the future. Just PM me and ask about availability.
I have to get rid of at least one rider in the transfer season but I doubt Kennaugh is available. He's a key part of my squad. Drop me a PM when transfers open and we'll discuss. I also released some pretty good riders for a CT team so there are riders available. There's also a guy called Froome.
Obviously, I'll have to consider Froome. More likely I'll just give up on the idea of hiring good Brits. But I might well ask about Kennaugh again when the time comes. |

There really isn't much going on for ICL standards, steals and renewals and that's it. You could have already worked towards getting riders with some steals though, but I won't blame you at all if you haven't

For hillis91 and all new managers:
You can't officially sign any riders until the free agents document is uploaded, but you can certainly work out your main targets from the FA market and ask other managers about riders they have who you want on your team. Steals are often not the best option for CT teams, so don't feel that you are starting with a huge disadvantage if you didn't sign any riders yet.
If you want to get a better idea of what happens in the transfer period, you can always look at last seasons transfer discussion and transfer threads here and here.
Everything in ICL is less complicated than it looks, so don't worry if there's something you don't quite understand. We're all here to help
