Barguil counted his chickens before they hatched. Bad move. Would have been a crazy ride to be caught and still win in the end.
I'm no Uran fan, but I am a Garmin fan, and with Talansky DOA I'm glad somebody came through to give the team something to cheer about and hopefully entice some sponsors to sign on if the rumors of that being an issue are true.
More sad about Martin. Taken out of the front group, the stage fight, and the GC, and nothing he could do. Sad day to see Dan the Man climbing so amazing in the mountains, only to be taken out after the fact.
Super exciting stage though. Might be the last one this Tour so glad I could take it in.

Too bad finish wasn't at the Dauphine one, would have been awesome to see Bardet win the stage and take 30 secs on the downhill alone.

He did pretty good in the 2015 Vuelta when going up against Dumoulin. Still doesn't change that forcing Froome to go on the attack and therefor isolate himself and make himself vulnerable against attack from other GC guys, would have opened the race. |

Absurd to Want riders not to try and take time on their opponents.
Why help Contador, Quintana Bardet
Astana end up with two riders in top 5, Aru just 18 sec. behind Froome.
The team in the best possible situation if Sky should show weakness at any point.
Just as Porte was helping to bring back Fuglesang which was also perfectly ok.
Would be absurd to give Bradet any time at all seen with Aru's eyes.
