Giro d'Italia 2017 - Week 3

Overhyping? Are you serious?

If anything I've been underestimating Dumoulin for a long time now. But his TT is simply one of the best in the world. He has a great aerodynamic position and his power numbers aren't much worse then they were 2 weeks ago.

So for me the only conclusion is that a bad day (like friday), illness, crash or flat tire can stop him. But not other riders. If Dumoulin has a normal day he will win.

That's not overhyping, that's stating the obvious.

ruben, everyone thinks that. Dumoulin is simply the best time trialist with Martin.
Quintana is so average, so there's no reason to reply him and explain that, since just one brainless can't understand that!

What's up with the toxicness, marco? I don't think that Dumoulin is a bad TTer, but I think that the fatigue could catch him out.

The only certainty for tomorrow - I'm going to be sad to see the back of this Giro.

Dumoulin will put at least 2 minutes into Quintana under normal circumstances.
Pinot massively improved in TT so hes my favourite for 2nd. Nibali probably 3rd

What about you behaving like a stupid kid? And that's me being polite.

Even Dumoulin thinks the others had no reason to pull. Pfft

1 Dumoulin
2 Pinot +40'
3 Nibali +45'
4 Quintana +1'15
5 Zakarin +1'15

This is just a rough prediction based on this week's fatigue, the course and the previous TT performances. It should be very close between Quintana vs Zakarin and the Pinot vs Nibali battle. I could maybe see Quintana fall to 5th, the course is fast and very much power based, on the flat I don't think Quintana can compete with Nibali or Pinot.

IMO, everyone is underestimating Quintana's TT, if he can do a decent ride he can still podium.

Look very much like a specialists, power course to me but of course freshness will play an important role after 3 weeks...

I thinnk that Quintana will be able to keep second place, but only by a few seconds with Pinot and Nibali

Really? I get that it's been close and there was that funny bit where he did a shit but my main memory will be of frustration, watching these guys who were too scared to race.

matt17br
You are all overestimating Pinot's abilities in a TT that very much lacks any kind of climbing. I get he's improved and he's NC, but he's not that good.

Acutally, I think it's Nibali's TT that people are overestimating Grin

Its taking just 34 minutes to complete 30kms TT. Looks like easy TT. I think there will be no big shakeup in leaders. All GC riders are tired.

dominox
I know it isn't really accurate, but a little comparision between top 5 GC in TT.

You can never underestimate him, only overestimate him. He doesn't even beat riders like Dumoulin and Bardet.
