Brabantse Pijl will be shown on ES tomorrow, thats always a pretty good race. QS look strong and hopefully they will prevent an Aussie victory from either Matthews or, god forbid, Simon Gerrans.
Doesn't matter, Gasparotto will beat them all.

Don't forget Nathan Haas could also ruin things for you by being an Aussie who could win this race

Colbrelli can thank Bole on his bare knees. Furthermore yet another display that being angry at your riders does help

Why Devenyns didn't attack is really beyond me.

Indeed. Following all final kms Gilbert's wheel...if he think that he will win Amstel on this way...if he followed Vakoc and Wellens attack, he would win today.
Deserve victory for Colbrelli was the guy how work most at the front. |

Matthews is probably as pathetic of a rider as Gerrans. Maybe even more. |

At this level, Colbrelli might have a chance in Liege

Nah. You're overhyping him like Durbridge.
He may be top5 in Amstel, but Fleche and Liege is easily out of reach.

Definetelly more. Gerrans could win things. Matthews only knows how to spoil others race and then fail miserably. |

How you can say that after Matthews 3 last seasons? Beside he is 26..best years still ahead.
Same time Gerrans last great season was 2014. |

Matthews is a pathetic rider. The guy only knows to how to follow wheels and expect others to close the attackers down instead of doing it himself or even crazier, maybe go on the attack himself. On top of that, he called himself Bling. You won't see him take responsibility in a race.
So yes. Not exactly the kind of riders we need more of and indeed, a pretty classless rider who has made a living out of expecting people to close down attacks and if not, whine in the press. |

If he was pathetic he wouldn't win races, just because he races in a way you don't like doesn't make him pathetic. I don't why people feel the need to be so nasty when posting, is it because they can hide behind a screen name?

Totally agreeing with Riis for once, He seems like a douchebag with a big ego, and never does anything other then follow wheels... |

Strydz, he simply don't know how to race differently. He hasn't learned it or simply refuse to, his tactic book is a one way street. He is a very good rider, can climb and TT very well, but yet still never uses his engine for anything else than to follow attacks and pray to god someone will close the break down.
His most prestigious one-day win is Classica de Almeria. A rider so talented as him who is basically made to win selective sprinter classics.. Colbrelli showed him the way yesterday, maybe Matthews will look towards him and realise you can win these bikes races actually being aggressive and doing something yourself.
It tells enough that Matthews was found on Gilbert's wheel yesterday (despite QS having two riders up the road), expecting him to close the gap. I don't exaggerate when I say its totally unthinkable to himself and against his nature to do it himself, despite he would increase his winner chances and in general just be a more likeable character (not that he should care). |
