That was quite a mess from Pokerstars, and suddenly Goss turns up t be a surprise winner. Congratulations, tsmoha! Also feel sorry for roturn, as Swift has been a complete no show in these sprints considering his stats.
Decent try from Holst Enger, which is nice Most important though is that Boasson Hagen got through safe. Now we really need him to deliver.

Bad sprint from Rowe this time. Very Nice to see one of my original riders in the break. As always, a good performance from Olsson. Hope he can fight for the KoM as the race go on.
Cool to see Goss winning! Surely, that's been a while since last? Congrats, tsmoha

Something's terribly wrong when the rider your username is inspired by performs so badly most of the time that you seriously consider selling him.
If Kelderman can't save this, we might even slip out of the Top 10 in the end.

What a great performance by Van Stayen in the race that I'm still considering my home race without a proper Latvian race on the schedule.
I was swearing after the sprint stages about his lack of scoring in the sprints in front of my display and he bounces back in this fashion: Awesome!
Having the hoped bonus of a good GC position will surely help for the further race and who knows - perhaps he will be able to grab the bonus seconds with some bonus seconds ... 
I also appreciate seeing Stoltz in the break. No idea why he picked exactly this stage but I like it anyway.

It's a pity Boasson Hagen looks to be back to normal though, which just isn't good enough considering his stats and his wage. It's just another disappointment, which is sad. By the look of it, you could argue the Olympics was just a fluke.
Maybe this stage result could see us try to go with the breakaways, which would be a nice thing on the two final hilly stages. Can't say my hopes are high for those stages considering Boasson Hagen's chances, with the latter looking to suit Trofimov and similar riders better, and stage 6 probably ending in a big group sprint on the steep final kilometer or so, similar to Flèche with an easier route before that.
Congratulations, OlegTinkov! Big win by Trofimov, but also a surprise to see Van Stayen storm to second place, which could see Evonik go a long way towards the PT overall podium. |

Weird to see Van Stayen being able to drop all the better puncheurs. Big move from him there.
Trofimov as usual in the top spot on such stages while I am very happy that De Bie is performing a lot better than Swift and actually doing something. Being in that first favourite group is all I wanted as he would need a very good day to gap those this season. |

Would've really liked those last bonus seconds.

Great stage for Gazelle! Very happy with Hofland's strong move and the resulting KoM points. Hope this means he will keep attacking the coming days to grab the jersey. Ginanni wasn't spectacular but he did what he had to do and won time on a number of strong puncheurs. One strong day in either stage 6 or 7 and a GC podium is very much possible.

I was really surprised to see you not doing exactly that, as that would have maximized your teams potential much more than your chosen way. Though there was a good reason behind Demares planning. Maybe not?

Indeed. It's a very nice job Tamijo! Thanks for that...
Happy with 5th when I didn't see Tzortzakis until very late in the sprint. Seems like he came with quite some pace, but unfortunately picked the wrong train. Nice to see Gougeard atleast try himself here. He should be better in the KOM's though.
Stage 6 is probably the deciding stage, while stage 7 can move a bit around here and there... Hoping to see Koretzky being aggressive as he wasn't on the first hilly stage.

Another surprise win, congratulations, Smowz! Degenkolb has had a very nice tour, but for the other top sprinters, this has just been lots of missed chances.
Good try by Holst Enger, which just seemed to run out of gas towards the end. And now, fingers crossed for what's to come. |

Rowe moving his way up in the sprints As this is the only race where he's free to sprint for himself this season, I was hoping for even more, to give some confidence that he could manage something for himself in the PCT.
Olsson again at the alert, and keeping the KoM. Just keep that up!
