Vuelta a Espana Discussion

I don't think it's only a leader's jersey thing though. Pluchkin had the pink jersey for quite a few stages iirc and the only stage he won was a time - trial (while not wearing the pink jersey).

Imo, the daily form bonus from having the leaders jersey has pushed his biggest weakness acceleration to a more reasonable number on each stage and since, ignoring ACC, he's kinda OP, he's dominating now. Or I could be completely wrong and PCM is just doing whatever. Pfft

Yup. But it was the outlier. Schleck even won the Col d'Eze MTT (which I didn't expect him to because Eze is a very easy climb for a MTT which gives strong TTers with good climbing skills an advantage) in Paris-Nice in this years MG when he was in GC lead.

Anyway I like Gesink so go Gesink!

You mix reality with PCM I think.

Col d'Eze in real might be a roleur climb, but in game it always depends on the stage file itself and how hard it is. So if it`s really a 100% mountain rated time trial, the best climber will always win it over pure time trialists.

Some unexpected winners in the flat stages so far I gotta say. Almost as if one second tier sprinter each time got a +4/+5 and won Pfft

I think one reason is that there is no dominant train.

Grieg Eftel never should form their own train as this is main reason why Guarnieri is not performing.

Orange also is ruining their trains even though Kreder is a good last man.

RedBull still working best with Chen but also not the very best train.

Hence those sprinters hanging on the best working train on that stage have great chances.

There is no Pokerstars like Qatar train here that makes it almost impossible to beat them.

Sad to see Ginanni abandon. Horrible race so far and after he lost his chance of rebounding with a stage win in the last week this was a wholewaste of 21 RDs. Sad

I'd be very happy to help you with that by buying a certain cobbler / sprinter for big money ! Pfft

Going by this I thought Schleck would be beaten by few seconds on Eze MTT.And yeah the only PCM I played was 2010 and I don't play it for almost 2 years either.

Howard would likely have here even better race than in Giro, our train could be good here. Well, at least I have more interesting HIL/MO stages here. Grin

Not an ideal stage with all these crashes for quite a lot of GC guys. Will be interesting to find out if Alarcon and Goos are injured or not.

Not sure if that certain guy is going to be available, but it is quite likely a certain GC guy and maybe a sprinter too are enjoying their last season of getting loads of Becherovka for free! Pfft

Well that was just crap. Coquard couldn't be bothered on one of the few stages that actually suit him. I suspect he may have been down - Aswell as Vasyliv btw who finished in the group with Alarcon - He definately shouldn't have had any trouble today.

Sucks to see my sprinter do nothing, and my lieutenaint lose 4 minutes. He would normally be a good bet for a U25 5-7GC placed rider. Now out of the top 10.

Lecuisinier stayed out of trouble luckily...

It's a shame Ginanni couldn't get anything out of this Vuelta.

Hopefully Brambilla isn't injured. Otherwise, a very needed and deserved rest day for Bobby.

Hahaha, now the disaster is complete. Guess the positive thing is that it can only get better from here.

Congrats on the stage win SN.

I'm not one to favour flat stages in a race where I don't have sprinters, but that was a nice change from the Gesink overdose. I get the feeling the game will crack down if the time gap grows to 10 min... We should just leave this as it stands, ok guys Pfft?

strange thing to see Team Gazelle frustrated in a race where the hill stats decides about winners and loosers so far Shock

Sad to see Alarcon lose time on such an stage. Really hope we will see Poljanski in the breakaway, but knowing PCM I think it will not happen. Fingers are crossed though and the race also lost an possible stage winner today

Cool to see van der Lijke win, congratulations, SN. As pointed out earlier, the best sprinters struggle to deliver acording to their stats here, which is a pity for their teams. Also sad to see Ginanni leave the race empty handed.

Decent 7th place from Holst Enger, and second in the points competition after eight stages is something I couldn't have dreamt of. Hopefully he can keep up his consistency, picking the right train and wheels in the final kilometers.

Thank you for another two reports today, roturn!

Great win from Van der Lijke, congrats SN (if you are checking MG anytime soon). Pfft

Yeah, the top sprinters not ruling much here, also in this department you have to count with incresed random factor, anybody can win really, unlike real life where 3-4 top sprinters divide all flat stages if not won by the break.

Ginnani, ouch. Shock

Btw what i found maybe the worst on this edition of PCM are almost exactly same riders crashing again and again and same with breakaway appereance. It is like the dice is rolled during stage 1 and "crash" or "break" groups are decided. You cant escape from that group since that point...our irders are crashing too, but some teams seem really plagued by that. Festina riders probably ride jelly bikes?
I'll be back

tastasol
That's better from Guarnieri and the lead out, but yeah, Haddi isn't the best lead out man. Congrats to SN though, and thanks again for the report roturn Smile
