Thank you for another nice report, roturn!
And wow, Gesink is arguably the favourite now Congratulations on a very nice result, alexkr00. Also congrats to knockout. Evonik just can't be stopped this season, it seems.
Very unfortunate and sad to see Morton and Alarcon pretty much drop out of overall contention due to that unlucky crash.
For Guldhammer, I had hoped for slightly more, I must admit. If he's going to run away with a good GC placing here, the hilly stages need to be used to his advantage, not just following wheels and ending up in group 2, 3 or 4 of the favourites. Luckily there are many more chances to come |

Sorry Avin we jinxed it, I guess that means you continue another 2 seasons to try and do 4 consecutive GT wins?
You never know with Pluchkin though, but if he races with the same attitude he raced the Giro it's hard to foresee a victory for him... Congrats knockout! Skujins won me quite a lot of PCM$

Whoa, what a massacre! I feel really bad for the managers who had their leaders crash at such a bad moment.
Ginanni not good enough unfortunately.
Great stage for Skujins and Gesink though, which is cool.

First of all, what a great report! Thanks a lot for that!
Secondly:
Skujins <3
Awesome to see him celebrating on the ffirst stage that was tailor-made for puncheurs. Seeing the difference to Tejay shrinking feared he might lose it but luckily, it was enough. And i keep thinking that the off-season traing for him was well invested money
Thanks for the congratulations!
Gesink very strong as well. Increasing the lead to 4 minutes could really open the race and make the battle interesting. The next stage might already be an indication of what to expect from the heavy mountains.
A big negative though are those crashes. Too many strong riders involved and i especially hate to see Alarcon down with such a big gap to the leaders as he could have increased the thrill of the GC battle a lot. Hopefully, he's not injured ! (same for other crashed riders)
next up a big mountain stage where i dont have too big ambitions. i absolutely hope that some of my riders will go into the break and perhaps grab some KoM points on those early mountains. Someone like Koch might be ideal for that! Stage 8 is then the next ollortunity for Skujins although i rate Gesink higher on that stafe due to the previous hard mountain stage...
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

To be fair on Koretzky. This surely must havebeen more than you expected from him. 5th only beaten by 4 better puncheurs and beating the likes of Gesink or Ginanni is surely more than decent.
Lecuisinier yes, he surely could have beem exüected in the 3'46 min group and hence lost about ~50s here. |

Brambilla seems to be having a good race as well, and with some help from Sinkeldam we also extend the lead in the teams classification.
I never really checked this but how does PCM do the team classifications? Is it simply the 3 best rider in GC or is it the 3 best riders combined time for every stage?

What a great stage (and brilliant to read). As much as 2nd place strings because we have a stage win goal here, TVG climbing to 2nd in GC is incredible. Can he stay there? No. But I'll enjoy it while it lasts.
Sad to see some of top climbers crashing, very lucky none of my guys have gone down yet.

Fuuuuuu...that is massive blow from Gesink and he has to be the overwhelming favourite to win the GC, great job from him. But there is still hope, that in mountains we will have a day or two in opposite direction. I dont believe it much though and every series have to end sometimes. Still we will fight!
Congrats to Evonik who seem to gain points even on GTs in nice fashion, team of the year so far for me.
Thanks roturn!

Absolutely. It was just frustrating to see him slow down from being in the front to "only" take 5th.
The time loss isn't so bad, but it is frustrating to lose 4th place in the GC and the young riders jersey in a stage that should suit Lecuisinier OK.
The F... PCM was directed towards the many crashes. Some very important riders have hit the deck so far, and the Giro was almost equally bad.
Btw. Thanks for the reports. You are doing an absolute stellar job here!

Still haven't managed to keep up with this outstanding pace, but it's been an interesting race so far. Gesink is powering through this first week with such a dominant performance, that it is hard to see anyone challenge him already.
It's a shame we already have a good number of riders affected by crashes, but outside the top2 the GC is pretty competitive.
Nice show of strength from Machado on stage 4. It would have been great to have taken that stage, but I'll settle with best of the pack. 8th in the GC after a 50+km TT is definitely a satisfying position to be in.
Great profficient reports roturn, just drop the pace a little bit will you? Thanks again for your massive input!

Been away for a couple of days, a lot to catch up on. Great pace, roturn!
Guarnieri doing what I feared. He shouldn't be anywhere close to our own train the last two-three kilometers. Seing Haddi there as the last man burns my eyes. Really? Tanner should be a way better option at least. The two opening stages were okay-ish, but had hoped for more. The fifth stage was just dreadful from Guarnieri, but at least Tanner managed something.
Very good TT from Dempster though. Great for him to get a podium. Feared some injuries on Juul-Jensen and Levarlet after their crash on the fourth stage, but luckily they seem fine. Another solid performance from Juul-Jensen now on the latest stage.
Hope we can get more involved in the breaks as the race go on as well.
Congrats to all the winners so far, and thanks for some great reports, roturn

Grande Gesink, work of his team paid well off. Tenorio and PluiPlui surely got their work cut out for them.

Can`t say I was impressed by my own team.
Daan Olivier on a mountain stage should never finish s.t. as Koep...just shows that Olivier didn`t go to his maximum which is needed if he wants to pass some of his direct opponents for a top15. |
