Maybe the most impressive performance of Isostar so far! Kasa attacking, Timmer going long range and Anton delivering from the front.
Also sweet to lead some minor classifications, another good job by Timmer there.

Passive is indeed the correct term to describe this so far, 23 riders on the same time in a hilly finish? Only in ct. That said it's very nice to see Anton win it because of the disappointments he's given his team. Hopefully he can keep it in the next stage. Congrats! Also what's with Pomeshnikov so consistently overperforming?

thx matt, exactly my feels but we've thrown away so much on final days so far that we won't celebrate yet
I felt like Pomoshnikov more underperformed than overperformed so far, he has some great stats

Well for Garby to lose no time on the road this stage and get a top 10 is actually more than I could have hoped for considering his 70 hill. However, three of his main competitors getting time bonuses will negate that and then some. With only one stage to make up that time, I'm not sure what chances we have of pulling this one out. I was hoping to gain some time yesterday, but clearly that didn't happen. Hoping for the best tomorrow.

That was terrible... all that wait for the KoM jersey - nice but not a stage win or a GC podium. Thanks anyway, trek.

I don't even care about the terms, consider it done.
Quite disappoint to lose this one. Garby put in quite a good attack, but couldn't commit to it, a flaw not uncommon in real life I suppose. You either need to keep your powder dry or go for it; there is rarely a successful space in between.
The results aren't too bad nevertheless. Garby takes second on the stage, a GC podium, and the white jersey. And what an amazing ride by Martin Schoffmann, someone that was on the chopping block at the end of last season! He's only got 73 mountain but managed to stick with the group and gather himself 8th on GC in one of the most stacked CT mountain races I've ever seen. THat got us the team classification too.
So overall not a terrible race for Carlsberg, but we really need to expect more if we're going to stay in the promotion hunt.

Not a bad race at all for us, Tvetcov managing a podium in many places and 2nd GC is not bad at all. Shame we couldnt grab a stage or a jersey but thats just my luck.
Hopefully we'll continue in this fashion till the end of the year

I hoped a little bit better GC place from Pomo, but how to slap a guy with a stage win? |

Not a bad race from us considering we weren't expecting anything from it. Hugentobler got a day in the KOM jersey which was nice and Schurter managed to get a top 15 in the GC which I wasn't expecting from him.
That said I probably shouldn't be as surprised as I am as he does end to pop up with these kinds of results every now and again. Maybe I should give him a chance to lead a race like this with some decent backup at some point as he tends to get a result like this at least once a season when I'm expecting nothing from a race.
