New I couldn't expect anything from Franczak At least we stayed safe as that's what matters on these stages.
Too bad Ian isn't around as it's nice to see Sancor take a win!
and thanks a lot once again for the great report jandal.

Well, not by our calculations. Thought Reimer would try too sprint on stage 2 hopefully we can make stage 3 too hard for the pure spinters and that would give Reimer a good chance. |

Mister Polivoda, I understand you're not too motivated after stage 2, but getting a top 50 should be possible, even for you... I mean... Prevar looks good, perhaps he should be our sprinter.

Yep, Franczak not interested, hopefully us meant that we have GC interests rather than just us being bad Sanchez in 15th is interesting though
Thanks a lot for another report jandal and once again and congrats Valverde on another win!

I signed Opie this season for his potential, not expecting him to get much in the way of results. So to see him 5th and 2nd already here means that no matter what he does in the rest of his races, I have to be pretty happy with his performances. Now time for Bibby to shine. |

Would like to tip my hat to Kuboki and Opie for their outstanding sprint performance. Aregger had the right wheel, but simply wasn't strong enough to keep up with the Japanese GC-leader.
Hope to find opportunities in the second half of the race, or (even better) create them by joining breakaways.

Hope the game didn't make Roche burn energy here, would rather see him relax on a stage like this and let Zielinski deal with this instead. Tomorrow is the big day, I do hope for the best

Good to see Aregger on the podium, also a couple of top 5's for Reinhardt is more or less what I would have expected from him. I guess it's up to Amador to disappoint me in the GC stages.
Great reporting jandal, these pics are looking very nice!

Yeah great reporting and cool eye catching pictures jan, Kuboki just confirms how important it is to wear a leader jersey in pcm but congrats to valv as he deserves it after a sorta slowish season start.
As for me not many fuckos given as long as we make points thanks to the initial tt!

Indeed, Kuboki has been very anonymous if he doesn't start off well, but with his Prologue stat, he has a good chance of repeating this performance at other races as long as he does well. Although I do agree its annoying he or others cant seem to replicate these kind of performances unless they are leading.

Kuboki beast! Dekker still hanging in there. The hill stage today might destroy a dream of podium. Hoping to see minimal splits going on. Crucial stage for us.
Thank you so much jandal, brilliant! |

Goodbye GC chances, doubt we'll even hold on to the top 10 now. must've been some Mo thrown into that stage as Panayotov decides that the one day he'll attempt to ride like a favourite is the day we have a leader, but he still collapses because he's not particularly useful.
Hope this means the team has some freedom tomorrow, rather than racing for LLS (or worse, Panayotov ) to get a top 15 at best, which seems the most likely scenario now.
Thanks a lot for the report jandal. Congrats Gustav on the stage win and Bjarnte for Decker making a very strong GC claim.

Pretty impressive from Bibby, didn't manage to gain time but it bodes well for the mountain stage that he was able to follow the big favourites. Would hope a similar performance on Stage 5 should put a Top 10 in the bag. |

Well that was rather disappointing The race was either won or lost on the stage from the start and failed to give us a time lead. The Top 10 should be secure, but doesn't look to be our turn to win a GC

This stage could almost not have went better for us. Wow! This single stage race might be the difference between staying up and relegation for us. PLEASE don't mess this up Dekker!!! |

Yeah of course Van Winden had to crash while holding the KoM jersey, and of course PCM had to make sure my entire team would "help" him, effectively only making sure everyone loses 9 fucking minutes and Molard can't fight for the stage. This is a massive bugger, also considering how Van Winden is probably badly injured and won't fight for the win in the last stage or a better placement in the KoM standings.
BTW huge grats to Gustavo because it's great to see a rider like Borges I personally really like - who doesn't have a thing for op acceleration lads - finally shine. Can't remember if he won something else this season, likely yes, but this makes it all the better obviously.

The climbing Nepomnyachsniy did well today, and looks set for a great GC! Races like this which are not too hard, but still have some sort of selection and a time trial really are his forte, and he's not afraid to show it! Scarponi and Topchanyuk bith with a shot of scoring a few GC points as well, hoever their TTs are not as good. For the mountainstage I'd like a guy like Prevar attacking early, he should have a decent chance at something then.
