The Tour of the Middle East is some kind of semi GT for the CT division. With 12 stages it`s no surprise that the biggest points of this period were collected there. Total wise obviously as PPRD is a different topic. Ticos Costa Rica did best here with their strong team but Carlsberg really came close as Garby showed his climbing legs for them. The only two teams above 100 points, for all others the trip was probably not the very best point wise.
Then couple of C2HC events for other big points. Geraardsbergen was dominated by Podium Ambition showing their podium ambitions. The team also scored the most in the other cobbled classics Herning and Gent-Wevelgem. At least CT wise as PCT teams were stronger. Though 91 and 37 points in the higher division is pretty strong.
San Marino was yet another race for Ticos Air but just 1 point ahead of Chiquita. The Minions had a nice period, which was mainly shown with the overall win in Southland as top scorer ahead of Elta.
The last HC event in Bulgaria was claimed by cycle Yorkshire with Kraftwerk, Carlsberg and Isostar closely behind them.
This also shows how important the C2HC events are as the top teams of the division all scored well in those.
The smaller points from the other events are needed additions but won`t help really if the main score is coming from there when willed to promote. Betonexpresst also was dominated by Kraftwerk, who had a nice run in the last 1-2 weeks.

Together with the early season we have the following total ranking at the moment.
Podium Ambition and Chiquita climbing up into the first spots followed by Kraftwerk with their recent success. Quite a few big jumps from some teams there and in especially a disaster for Sauber, Schuh and La Poste, who drop into the 2nd half from the top spots.
At the bottom Spark isn`t really rolling but also Vivacom, Eddie Stobart and Hankook can`t be happy.

La Poste and World Cycling didn`t race as much as the other teams. Hence their total points is not as good as their prospected ones. Both teams could come back into the promotion spots soon while the 3-4 top teams slowly start to form properly.

The Tour of Bulgaria changed the individual ranking the most. Anton and Tvetcov as some of the top scorers there move up into the best performers of the CT division. Klemme and Thomas, who consistently score in all their suited races, also move up nicely.
Garby, De la Cruz or Martinez also profit from the amount of stage races so far, while former leader Hugentobler dropped since not joining more than 6 points since last update.
Sprinters so far struggle in the individual rankings. Geschke/Nelson as late top20 still the best so far but there will be races better suited for them later.

Big scoring period for us thanks to cobbles and sprints being often. But that Top5 in Southland from Ivanov didn't hurt either. Great period when we really needed to capitalise. The challenge is maintaining performance which will be a struggle.
Top on Total points, quite possibly a first for the team, and just shows that we've kicked off in the right gear. Scoring more points total already than the bottom 7 are predicted across a season, i like that! We've most certainly built ourselves a strong promotion base here.
And with only 9 teams having raced less than us our Projection is looking great as well! It's not a comforable projection but i won't complain in the slightest. Crossing the 2000 barrier has to be our goal because that would give us some serious chance at the title, and i'm gonna say the 1500 barrier would be about what's needed for promotion. So if we can convert some of these results to wins (only 2 in 33 days isn't that good considering our power in sprinting) we'll be rocking and rolling.
Don't think Thomas has ever been so high in an individual ranking, or any team member ever! It's what we've horribly missed before and he's got a good few chances left to press on. Nelson's consistency is T20, but he needs wins and if that happens a T10 could well be on. Grashev doing alright, and check our Nardin as our #4, the Brazilian relishing his return to CT.

Well Rankings don't look good for us. Most of our good races already lay behind us. Without that failure on the last stage in Bulgaria we could be up to P5 and looking more comfortable, but I guess that train is over. The rest of the season will be all about defending our position. At least we are in front of Xero though

I feel like this season has been absolute crap so far and thus I'm confused as to how we are even in the promotion discussion right now let alone currently in a promotion spot, but of course I'm not complaining. Still, that position is very, very, very far from safe so we definitely need to be better.

The Machine is come into the right gear in the last weeks, points just kept flooding in. Podium Ambition is definitely a highlight team thou when it comes to PCT scoring, well done here. Hoping for some De Maar magic so that BBL stays in contention. Also, maybe real life Anton should ride CT too, so he gets some proper results? Good scoring from him.

Ouch - that was not a nice month! Chaabane's victory softens the blow, but still not good! Need some big months moving forward.
The PpRD and projections gives us some hope for the season though

Our non result in Southland after that crash that wiped out our 3 best placed riders and took a fair few GC points away that we were looking likely to achieve has hurt us in this ranking but as that should be a one off things will hopefully get back on track now and look a little better going forward.

No huge surprises so far - except Carlsberg, that if De Maar performed like he used to last year, would have been a lot higher than 6th.
If they were aiming for promotion, Elta also should have aimed to be much higher this time of the year, with Sella who pretty much used up most of his race days and still only puts his team in 13th. Racing Catalunya and the likes was not a smart choice. Not looking ideal for MOL either but WCC has got to be the happier ones at the moment with that 8th place, and even then, I'd say they could have been higher had Naesen not fallen at Benelux.

After a few winning breaks confusing the 1st update, the #2nd update is more of what we expected from most teams.
Kraftwerk Man Machine, were the favourites, and still are for me. Klemme has a ton of racing left as does Stauff. That said if Podium Ambition want to win they really need to fill their boots in the remaining cobble races.
Sprinters low down compared to last season: but the sprinter fun has yet begun! Langkawi, flat one-day races, Denmark Rundt and La Bongo (Lavoine got 196 points from that 6 day race) are to come so the likes of Stauff could still easily top the rankings.
LA Poste could be the team that everyone heavily overrated unless Dowsett starts winning/ getting on the podium consistently.
bwiggins propping up the rankings - he really needs a 'spark' to start his team up!  Sorry! |

Great month for Podium Ambition sees them in a well deserved first place.
Betonxpressz GP was a great point scorer for Kraftwerk and Bulgaria saw us achieve our first goal, pretty good month for us too.
Projections show us in a close race for third with 4 or 5 other teams, looking forward to seeing how this works out.

Only 6 RD's for WCC in March, so a decent return achieved. Overall ranking not such great reading, but PPRD table provides good cheer. Doubt we will achieve as much as predicted, but getting close to 1000 points overall is a solid but tough target to be aiming for (in our circumstances). April is an important month with 18 RD's commited, so things will start to be more clear then from our perspective.
Like Strava in PCT, TMMs Podium crew need to keep wracking up big scores on the cobbles before those races peter out, otherwise likely to start to suffer, but still a solid bet for an automatic promotion spot. Kraftwerk looking like the best long term challengers. Expect Sauber to motor up the ranks when a little good fortune shines their way.
