All these chances for something out of the breakaway and my team is finding ways to do nothing. Think we have had 2 guys now make a breakaway, and outside of a finish from Peterson, absolutely nothing. While our top GC rider can't seem to find any legs and has been destroyed. Not a good race for us.

Top 8 on a C1 race filled with climbing talent, I am over the moon with that. I had hoped De la Cruz might have done something to climb higher but 8th is amazing for our team in our first race

Just catching up on reports now, struggling to keep up with the insane reporting pace! 
What an exciting race this has been for us, after Chamorro lost time on the flat stage I was very disappointed but then to turn it around in such fashion on the next stage (although credit must be given to incompetent AI where it is due) was amazing. Doing a solid job holding on to his GC position through the rest of the race and not slipping too far back while the big GC guys pile on the attacks, and if he can survive the last hilly stage our highly ambitious Top 5 goal will, somehow, become a reality. After a mediocre Tour Down Under, I couldn't really ask for a better start to the season!

Certainly you can see some winners and losers on this one. Ricco not getting up there yet but is always a danger in the hills of course. Such a tough end after the brutal mountains here at Tachira - has had some legendary last day attacks in the past (read AI brain farts). Machado calculating there, but great stuff again from goatface.
Thrilled with how well Chamorra is doing, certainly former red bull men have good records here. Rodas infamously a few years back.

The way this race has panned out I probably should have sent Talansky to the ToA instead, for this and another few races. He will probably only leave with 25 points for 10th place, expected a top 5, not getting it, several more points than a fluke breakaway win gets you. Oh.

That stage was crap. I hoped to keep at least one of the classifications my team was leading in. I doubt much will change in the stage 10 criterium. |

Couple of intense stages for us, but Machado was able to fend off everyone fortunately. Martin was outstanding in the aggressive role, while I was expecting a bit more from Ricco and Rujano at least.
Tough to see a few other leaders going down because of bad luck. Hopefully MG karma will repay you guys.
Still missing the last stage. One more day to hold my breath I guess.

It took it's time until David Wöhrer realized what he has achieved today.
"It's surreal!" he just said coming from the podium ceremony with tears in his eyes.
As a team we won three stages the whole 2015 season. No doubt, this Vuelta al Tachira will be kept in good memory for a long time. Taking another look at the startlist even the 11th of Dario Cataldo is reasonable.
One more left and a good opportunity for Oscar Gatto to reward himself for the brilliant work he has done in early stages of this tour.
Kudos to Marquez, again. Beating all the big guns on the queen stage impressed a lot. You surely could've made a nice return by betting on a Sancor team lead after stage 9.

Bad luck for Pinot and Ayubowan!
Even a much bigger blow for the teams morale than pointswise.

COgrats to Compal for this victory. With their line-up this stage was certainly theirs to take!
Poor luck for Telkom, who in the end deserved much more than a mere top5. This result doesn't show the strength of their team.
I'm thrilled though to take this victory. Risky one this was, but it end it looks like it payed off.
And last but not least, thanks roturn for such a magnificent race!
