Machado doing Machado things. Thought Ricco would be better suited to this stage honestly. Anyway, congrats Prio!
So happy to see Brenes finish in the main group as this is the stage I was concerned he was going to lose big time.
Cassidy though, that has to be at least his 4th break so far this year, ridiculous!

Wow, Gilanipoor making me really really nervous there, moving between A1 and Peloton all the time. Glad he coul make the same time in the end, and hope he feels better and gets a bit better day form on the next stage.
Chris Sutton with two podiums though, is certainly a lot better than expected.
Things are going good so far. |

Great stuff from the big favorite, always a good thing for a manager
Telkom duo indeed going strong as well. Interesting couple, that may give aidan some good points even if Ricco won't take the overall win. Of course those gaps still make for a thrilling battle though. This race may actually be more interesting for me to follow than Gossy's non-show in Qatar

Meintjes works for Ricco and manages to beat him to 3rd place...
It was probably the best stage for Ricco, so I had hoped for him to steal some time. I have to admit, Machado is the superior rider for this race, so congrats to Porto. Ricco is still in with a shot to win this. I just hope the AI keeps him as the leader and not Meintjes. However, if we finish this race without a win but 2 guys in the top 5, I'll be happy!
And love the reporting roturn - it's really nice to read!

Machada will be close to impossible to beat noe eith that great start!
Still a completly open race for the remaigning podium aswell, not certain if it was the best decision for Telkom to steal the bonus seconds from Ricco though.
Gotta admit I really like to see the favourite dominate the opposition like that. mt-stat surely played a big part of the performances today. |

Awesome report, was kinda surprised that Machado did not react on the first move and might have been punished if there had been a higher pace, but obviously he saved his energy for later and managed to gain a nice lead on his opponents, he is in a strong position to take the overall win now.

Great report, liked that. Good to see Castaneda pulling his, considerably, weight after failing in the sprints.
But I do feel a bit screwed as no way did the hill stat matter on that stage. Talansky finishes with guys who (-8 hill) shouldn't be finishing with him. Really should have been labelled as a mountain stage. |

Definitely a stage in between, which though is also the look of the stage as it`s far from a pure hilly stage on the profile.
Though just checked and it`s a bit of both stats.
Also always depends on daily form, pace of the peloton going up and other stuff. |

Exciting stage, amazing report. Thanks a lot, roturn!
Cataldo worried me, always hanging around at the end of the group. Happy it all worked out fine. Maillet seems recovered from his crash, but he better saves his energy for a stage 7 or 8 break than launching attacks for minimum gains. Need to tell him he's already 19 minutes down in GC.
One last pursuit for Appollonio and the rest of the race can be seen much more relaxed.
Gratz to Prio! Taking the lead so early may end in Machado really milking this race.

Machado is certainly looking good for the rest of the season, especially if he manages to drop everyone in a stage that certainly doesn't suit him.

Great report for the first mountain stage of Tachira - congrats to Prio on the win but there is a long way to go. Telekom's in house fighting is great, and I wonder if the bonus seconds not gained by Ricco could be valuable come the end...

Machado really shows who´s the clear favourite on a stage that should not suit him that well, congrats gustav! |

We didn't get the breakaway win we were looking for, but GC still in the hunt, and we were in the breakaway which is the plan. Hopefully we see the same for the remaining stages, and give ourselves chances at one of them.

A win is a win!
A mucky breakaway win, but we will take that. 1st victory for Flores gives us plenty of hope for the future after wondering where we were gonna score points this season. I guess the Brazil focus paid off ^^! Heart in mouth moments at the end but Avancini just managed to hold on from the peloton.
Yesss.

A great result to give me that extra push to finish ToME!! Shame about the results crash, Roturn, hate that happening. Commiserations to Coldeportes as well, hope no injury was suffered. |

For as well as all the previous stages have gone, this one sucked. We didn't get into the breakaway, a day where the break won. We lost one of our climbers that might have been able to be in the breakaway over the next few days as well. Need the team to figure this out to get some points.

That was really close for the breakaway, sad for the sprinters but if you give the breakaway enough time and you don't control them properly you are going to have a bad time. Nice report as always

I told everyone Cardoso would be a top lead-out. Nobody believed me. Well, here's the proof. |
