Ive been on the beta and so have pushed for some of the new areas - most on that 'maybe' list were my suggestions.

Could you fight for some Scandinavian .DEM aswell? hehe
a lot of beutiful races that takes place here, and should be in the game aswell.
And, the WC is in Bergen next year.
It is impossible to create DEM files for areas too close to the North Pole, as the coordinates get distorted. So coverage further north in Scandinavia is unfortunately never going to happen.

PCM 14 stages aren't compatible with PCM 16 you can only use PCM 15 and 16 files.

You could try this:
Open the stage with the stage editor of PCM 2015
Save it in the Stage Editor of PCM 2015 using another name
Open the new stage files in the Stage Editor of PCM 2016 |

For those of you wondering--I made a list of all the current problems in the SE that you might encounter (and Cyanide will not be fixing)
Crashes when attempting to place splines of any type--though not always. It seems to happen particularly often when messing with wallhouses/villages. Additionally, attempting any two actions at the same time with your mouse will cause the SE to instantly crash. This does not seem to be the case for KB actions, nor for KB+M actions.
Road splines still have a tendency to overlap through terrain instead of locking to ground. This becomes very problematic when working with switchbacks and chicanes since the "hitbox" (clickable area) is so fucking huge for the individual splines.
Any prefab border object not hand placed will resize itself for road snapping.
For wallhouse/village usage, the clipping on these objects makes them nearly useless to have on hilly/mountain terrain with any sort or road curvature.
Cities cannot be built on curved roads, nor excessive gradients.
Road "overlap" is still a massive issue--any even 90 degree corner with more than 1 width will cause this to occur. (I will say, this doesn't always happen on flat ground)
Using Ctrl+Z to undo any mistakes on a spline will cause snapping to turn off until all splines of that "unit" (meaning polygon/road) are deleted.
SE will instantly crash if you accidentally click the "Window frame" itself.
Cities do not have proper geometries when built. Very often, this causes sidewalks to clip through roads and gutters to extend beyond the end of streets.
Fences do not lock to terrain when placed near roads.
Fence objects will always use the gate type assigned by presets--not the manual gate selection of the user.
Intersections that are close together are still pre-formed spline images, making it impossible to build "tight" cities without doing so artificially.
Isolated Buildings cannot be rotated when first placed, you must deselect and then reselect them in order to perform any rotations.
Isolated Buildings cannot be scaled up/down. This technically isn't a bug nor error, but causes a lot of issues with clipping when trying to build structures near or around roads.
"LadderSprintTest" objects auto-place all over the fucking stage for no reason. I don't know what these are (or why they exist) but they constantly cause "sprint object too near intersection" errors, sometimes 4 or 5 PER STAGE.
Forest "borders" do not properly create blend spaces. Instead, they create a percentage of total terrain from center to be devoid of trees bordering the main forest, then place a thin "rim" near the edge of that border.

Thanks, but I had uninstalled PCM15...
To use PCM15 Stage Editor do I need the whole game or only the Stage Editor.exe?

Hello More troubles with SE here :
Yup many troubles when you try to do some high mountain way it takes a while -sigh- . But one more point : I tried to create a time trial mountain stage but impossible to find the "final time trial" so it doesn't work. Only flat and mountain final and no TT. Any tip to be able to create a TT stage or it's only impossible?
Many thanks in advance for your help

Fear you have to install the whole game to use the stage editor.

Have my PCM16 refunded, but in prior editions you choose "finish flat" and than change (further below) the category to: mountain timetrial.

Hey guys, im taking up making stages and im planing on making a Variant of the Giro d'Italia. But when i try to load a GPX file, nothing changes. The numbers stay the same, and the same when i try to load the route.
Any ideas? What site should i use to make the gpx files or what should i tick of?
Thanks.

To check if the gpx is working put it on the desktop, rename it to xxx.gpx and use it from there when trying to create a new stage.
The issue can be caused by special letters even used in the folder the gpx-file is placed in. e.g. a folder name "Giro d'Italia" can be the culprit, too.
You can try other files to find out if the problem is linked to your gpx-file as well. There are several working gpx linked in the EP:request thread.
For gpx-creation I favour plotaroute.com. Many useful tools and no need to subscribe.

Well... I've tried a couple of the files there, but nothing changes. I've also tried the method of naming them XXX and placing them on the desktop.
Any ideas?

Hmm, it really sounds and looks like the problem the editor has with special letters (eg: accents, umlaut, å, ø, æ...). But when you've tried renaming and opening gpx from desktop I'm at my wit's end.
It couldn't be you've used any of these certain characters to name your harddisk or partition?
It's important these letters won't appear on the whole path, it's one of these little bugs PCM stucks with for ages.

Yeah i guess, but i tried diffrent GPX files and so on aswell. Im going to delete and re-innstall the editor. Maybe that will do the trick. Super annoying though...
Thank you for your time

So i've now deleted the Editor from steam 2 times, i've loaded the gpx files from the desktop and not a folder, with the name of "xxx" instead of the original name.
The editor just dont seem to actually load the GPX, the longitude max/min and so on just stay the same, like the pic i posted 3 post over this one.
Anybody now of a fix for this? Is there something major im overlooking? A reply would make my day. Cheers
