All the sighs.
Nobody wants to win this besides Froome. |

Wonder what Quintana is thinking now. He just let his biggest rival for the title ride away like nothing. |

You can't dope bike handling and bravery.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Is gain of 15 seconds while working for 15km on 100% really worth it. Considering that there's still Arcalis tomorrow.
Also what's up with this recent trend of sitting on frame bullshit. Do these marginal gains really outweight the risks.
And BMC has to get an award for the biggest dum dum brothers for starting to work only 3 km from finish when you have two best TTs in group on a descent that puts more emphasis on TT skill rather than descending one. |

This was not improved bike handling though. This was just having more power. The descent was clearly long straights with hardly any corners. They constantly rode at over 80km/h. He just powered away which is normal cause he has weight advantage.

This. Descending has been his only weakness of late, and that can be trained (well documented with Pinot).
Honestly chapeau to Froome for winning like that. Gutsy descending and genuinely interesting to watch his technique.

I'm no Froome fan and that Sky train for the whole climb was pretty ugly and boring, but I have to give credit where credit issue. Cheeky move by Froome there and a deserved win for him.
Happy with the rides from Martin and Van Garderen today. Hopefully tomorrow is a bit more selective.

I wasn't insinuating doping, I'm just in utter confusion.

I think it's more of everybody accepting that Froome has already won instead of nobody wanting to win. which is probably even worse.

Remember it was more than 90 seconds last year, only 23 seconds today. So it's not all lost.
