Van Avermaet is canny. I can honestly see him holding on to this seven minutes for a long time, maybe all the way.
Nah. If he can't hold onto Impey and Navarro they will maybe even get yellow off him tomorrow.

That is a massive fuck you to the British Cycling by Cummings! Great win from him and fantastic tactics to take the victory.
So unlucky for Yates in the flamme rouge incident. Any insight to what happened?

Yeah, but he got into the break in the first place. And besides, Nibali couldn't hold on to Impey and Navarro either...

This year's organisation lel
Portical dropped on top of Yates for sure. I hope the bike didn't crash into Yates though... Would explain how Yates' bike ended up on top of the portical. |

While it is a good win it doesn't really prove anything to British Cycling.
The reason he hasn't been selected is because he's not seen as a team player. He's very good a attacking and occasionally he wins, but in the Olympics with only 5 riders they can't afford a rider who isn't going to pull their weight for the team.
A solo win doesn't disprove that. If they had a full team of 8 he would be in no question as a plan B.
Also, Froome is going to be the leader and I'm sure he will want teammates he rides with throughout the year. |

Bad work by Orica's bus driver in 2012 = Rider who wasn't even with the team then crashing 4 years later
Karma's being overly mean here.

In an interview with Norwegian Television Cavendish said he plans to finish the Tour and target the green jersey.
Should mean we get an interesting fight between him and Sagan then.
