Quite a calm development. But suddenly Ahlstrand being a top5 sprinter in the ManGame. |

Tbh I have absolutely no idea how my transfers went. But I think it was alright! I know Thorsen doesn't have very good backup stats, but I still think he's worth it for € 70,000! Other than that I also got some good riders in Yatsevich and Krasnoperov! And I don't really have any intentions other than just doing alright, as it is my first season!

I've rarely seen a team roster that looked weirder, maybe never...
But man, only a few CT teams even get just one 80+ rider, and you have 3!

Yatsevich is going to wreck the CT, as I said, he could have been quite great in PCT as well and I wanted him a lot.
Krasno is going to be much better in CT than he was in PCT. If even Thorsen performs better than expected, you've got a promotion material team for sure.

Good luck with Thorsen, he will have you tearing your hair out like he did for me.

Krasnoperov, Garby and Sella goodbye any plans we had of scoring from mountain races this season.
I think it's between you, Podium Ambition and Cycle Yorkshire for the title and that all 3 of you should promote.
At least we can beat you on the hills.
@Cio, I take it you mean in main stats, otherwise I've got 4, even if 1 of them is loaned out.
How many CT teams have developed their own 80+ main stat guy?

my bad, i totally misinterpreted it.
Also @bwiggins, Krasnoperov's mtn stat is great, but do you know his low hill stat and flat stat mean he'll get dropped immediately? Im honestly not sure |

@bwiggins: Your team seems to be a big gamble on PCM, Yatsevich should be great for you but to be honest I expect Thorsen and Krasnoperov to be useless or at least have just as much consistency as signing a rider to win from breakaways. I'm happy to be proven wrong though, certainly looks like a interesting team to follow.

Signorini had about the same flat stat and hill stat in CT last year, did fine with 2 points less in mo
Problem for Krasno will really be acceleration.

CT is a little stronger this season of course, but Signorini with 59FL managed to finish 11th on a flat stage in the middle east I think. Was never really lower than top 50 in flat stages, and hilly stages were also no problem. He got some great results, so I don't see why Signorini Sr. cant get some great results in CT this year too

Developed their own? I mean, 99% of the time higher level teams will take the biggest talents so it's kind of impossible.
Garby has 79 and he's my pride and joy and I want to give a huge thanks to niconico for basically letting me have him cause let's be honest right now he was a PT Danish team who easily could have outbid the 100k I spent on him in free agency.
Most teams promote before their talents are fully developed anyway, I'm only an exception cause I'm so bad.

If it makes you feel any better I'm in my 4th season, have maxed 4 guys, including Salleh who is 80/80 SP/ACC and don't think I'll promote back to PCT this season. That means next year I'll be CT with 8 level 1 to maxed riders in my 5th season in the game which would be my 4th in the CT division.
Safe to say I'm taking the slow route as I've already seen a team that joined after me promote to the PT, and loaned a rider I signed at level 1 before they existed to them to get him to max out.

Krasnoperov is useless, just saying. But in CT, he can be less useless and grab some points. Thorsen is similar one trick pony.
I guess your team will have very wide range of possible CT finish, from 2nd (TMM for the win i dont doubt it) to 10th place. So good luck.
I would not give more than 60k for Krasnoperov, that is why i stopped bidding, but being a Pluchkin domestique is the most he can hope for in his career.

I've had Meintjes since first season at CT! Loaned him out in 2015, but will have him maxed after 2016 in my own colours!

Salleh my first sprinter in MG history... and also I will finish this season to develop Silvestre to 80SP and 81AC , he that is part of the team since the beginning
@ bwiggins team reminds me of my first team , many riders for development which requires a very difficult planning of the season under penalty of not being able to develop all the talent in the team

So, barring a few late stagiare signings we're done. Ayubowan 2016 looks very different to Ayubowan 2015, with only 5 riders from last year's team remaining on board. The biggest change is probably the number of unmaxed riders, from 4 last season to now 14 (plus 2 loaned out). As is stands there's 10 Sri Lankans, 5 French Riders and 5 British Riders which is nicely balanced - and unlike last season, my nationality focus hasn't hampered us too much.
The aim for this season is to be in and around the Top 10 in the PCT. Promotion would be nice, as a number of riders would then not need to be loaned out next season, but with the number of talents we have I think it may just be too difficult to achieve. Despite the influx of climbers into the division, Pinot shouldn't be too useless considering the races that he'll be riding, and Gautier and Bellis are one of the best - if not the best - puncheur duos in the division. Bibby, Gallopin, Yates and Petit should also score well at this level, and hopefully some of the talents can surprise.
Transfers as a whole went pretty well, with only two disappointments. Firstly, I couldn't persuade Crue that a Kennaugh/Vanderbiest swap was in his interests - although that worked out nicely by leaving me the cap space to pursue Carthy. And secondly, Bjartne stole Dulanjana from me (although at least I got Ranaweera!) - although he then ended up back with us on loan anyway
Below I've attached a picture of the team as it stands, and also as how it'll look three seasons down the line when everyone is maxed - luckily only Bibby will have declined by then. Average age is 25 (24.81 including those loaned out) so there's a nice base for the future. Carthy is the headline talent really, but Yates, Ranaweera, Chatarunga, Opie and Laporte are all great options for the future.

This is the team which will be representing me next season in the PCT. From last year I would have to say it's a definite improvement as I have opened up far more scoring options and I become less reliable on the performance of Rafael Valls. He is still my Mountains leader this year and I do realise he will likely struggle due to the world class Stage Racers in the PCT this year, hopefully he avoids a few of them this season and gets a fair few points. As always, he'll have a good Mountain train to support him.
The sprints are one area where I am hopeful of securing more points. Bouhanni wasn't effectively used last year and he has a stronger train this year. The likes of Jaser, Reza, Anton Martin, Sanz and Bonnet will hopefully give him the support he needs and we'll hopefully see the Orange at the front in flat races.
One area where we may score well is in time trials and flat stage races. Cornu was my biggest signing of the transfer window and I believe he will be extremely valuable to us as he has back up stats which will make achieving GC results easier and more realistic.
Puncheurs are the main addition to the team this year. Roy and Caruso follow Cornu as main signings and will lead the team together in the hills this season. Both of them have their own strengths and weaknesses and I hope that they will perform well for me. I have also brought in a few reinforcements to give us a specialist Hills team of 78,78,75,75,74,74 which is a definite upgrade on past seasons where we have had no one.
My only unmaxed rider this season is the Serbian Milos who will look to grow this season into the Stage Racer that he will one day be!
Overall I'm happy with the additions made to the team. No rider left us during the transfer window and 8 joined leaving us with very little budget and salary cap. I am feeling more confident this season that we will do well!

Fairly happy with that, not a hugely involved transfer season but much better than last year's trainwreck. Time trials and sprints won't give much joy but elsewhere we should be scoring points. If we can overperform like last year we should win the PT.
