He had some heart and blood pressure problems in the past, but it was ruled safe enough for professional cycling. Indeed we can't rule something like that out, but come on, what if his family visits this site and reads that a few people here are linking his death to doping not 24 hours after he died?

If his family is visiting site dedicated to pc game instead of mourning, i will eat my hat and call them idiots. Wink

Sorry for the tone, but you comment was ridiculous for me, we can speculate about what we want, with who we want...

In my opinion, you should have the decency to wait for the investigation. A rider with no link to doping, but with a history of heart conditions dying from a heart attack and people start speculating about doping? I call that first of all stupidly illogical, but also disrespectfull. I mean, if this would happen to Cobo or Horner or something, sure, speculate all you want. But in this case, what makes people immediatly hint at doping?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I feel bad about that last incident. Weird ..riders take several VO2 , heart test's ..how? He rode himself into death..doctors who did not find solution/ reason for he's heart problems should be shamed. Young "kid" is dead

Lets get some news not related to death for once:

Trentino-route. Nibali, Landa and Pozzovivo seems to be attending. I think there will be live coverage. Always a super good race!

I particularly like the look of stage 3: utilising an underused climb buried in amongst classic Dolomiti climbs so we're not just fed the same old climbs over and over again, and then climbing Fai della Paganella just like stage 16 of the Giro, as a Dauphiné-esque warm-up, before a PROPER descent finish - an indictment of current race design trends that they are so rare that the mere appearance of one is worthy of exultation.

Basically, all the stages are good. Pfft Never seen it, so I look forward to tune in for a few stages. I love GT-tuneups.

I actually didn't even realise they used it for stage 16. But damn, that stage is short, but it seems like it's a pretty tough climb actually.

He's been back since Monday

I wish he'd say who he is. I don't have any reason to believe anything he says because he can't even give us his identity. It bothers me. If at the base he lies by not telling the truth, what else is untrue?
Like him judging Démare at MSR. Don't like it.

Zorro was cool, hiding his identity. But this guy is no zorro.

My guess would be Lars Bak.

Can't be him, he says his first race back after TDU was Omloop. Bak raced Great Ocean and then Paris Nice.

He can't say who he is because The Secret Pro isn't one person, it's a mash up of several riders with some extra bits added in by the editors. So guessing the rider is a wasted exercise i'm sorry to say.

Let's just say I have some inside info on this
Hells 500 Crew and 6 x Everester
Don Rd Launching Place
Melbourne Hill Rd Warrandyte
Colby Drive Belgrave South
William Rd The Patch
David Hill Rd Monbulk

I've subscribed to Strydz' version for a very long time, it's literally the only way short of being pure bs
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Oh believe me, I don't bother guessing who he is.
If they are with several, why don't they just say so.
I just don't think I should believe anything coming from guy(s) who don't even reveal their own identity. Everyone could say anything. But that's just my opinion Smile

While it may just be your opinion, Ian, I honestly think it's an opinion you should change. If the author is anonymous, it'd be easier for them to take up controversial topics that could cause them to become shut out from the peloton. With them being anonymous, they can take up these issues with little risk of losing their job.

Are there issues with anonymity? Definitely! That's why we should be thinking critically. Should we dismiss something just because people are anonymous? Hell no. With such attitude, I wonder why you even bother using forums...

Can't rule any riders out, basically looking at what he says he either is Luke Rowe or Sam Bewley but both don't have enough experience to write what he writes I think. He/they just want/s to mislead everyone by telling things that are false, amongst the possibly true facts.

Because I don't use forums to base my knowledge on on such controversial topics. The Secret Pro just accuses people, gives no proof, doesn't give his own name.
In an internet era anyone can do that and it's the wild west. If you accuse people, at least be a stand-up guy about it and do it right. If you really want to change things, you can't hide behind a mask and just say whatever you want.

Your statement about forums is completely useless, though, so I won't go deeper into it.

Bah.The part The Secret Pro wrote about Nibbles is rubbish.

Once again it isn't one rider it's multiple riders and it hasn't always been the same riders over the life of The Secret Pro, also some of the opinions in the articles aren't from riders in the pro peloton, also you are correct that some falsehoods are inserted into the articles for the sake of misdirection.
